I stayed in this hotel went on a solo trip to Hiroshima. The hotel is just infront of a tram station and you can even walk to Hiroshima station that would take about 15 minutes. There are nearby convinience stores and restaurants if you'd like variety. The Okonomi Mura or Okonomiyaki Village was about 15-20 minutes on foot.

The hotel interior is very classic and nostalgic of the Victorian era. There's free coffee in the afternoon til midnight. The room was fine for a solo traveller , although the carpets could do some upholstering.

6th floor with adequate view of the river looking good with spring foliage. Brilliant breakfasts for all tastes. Faded decor and worn carpets are more quaint than unpleasant. Attentive staff and more English spoken than i remember ten years ago. Room relatively small with bath/loo ensuite, the means to make a cuppa, fridge. Milk and snacks and alcohol etc all available at two 7eleven corner stores very close. but all clean and functional. no evening meal in hotel but several cheap eating places within a couple of minutes walk eg open-air evening dining on the riverside or japanese versions of "fast food" ie much better than western style.

Room Tip: a river view, even oblique, is worth asking about. Different products machine-vended on different floors if you care you could ask.

Lobby looks very nice with complimentary welcome coffee from 3pm. However, the hotel is relatively small and so the room. Two big luggages on the floor would cause you problem walking around. Hotel location is 15 mins on foot to Hiroshima station, better take tram which takes around 8 mins (3 stations away from Hiroshima). Suggest to buy one day pass, would be worthwhile to get around. The hotel is sitting between shopping area and JR station so it requires a bit of traveling if you wanna go out. There is no wifi in the room, only the lobby.

We are here for a family annual trip. And this is our 2nd time to Hiroshima but we do come to Japan few times a year.

This hotel is a little bit far away from the downtown area. But that can be replaced with their excellent service. You can reach this property easily from the tram service (they call StreetCar). Not expensive at all. And by StreetCar you can reach downtown shopping area within few stops.

The room is spacious compared to other hotels in the same level in Japan. The room is clean and secured. My favourite is the water pressure of this hotel. Amazingly strong. You can massage your tired body after day trips with this facility.

Overall it is a nice place to stay.
