When we arrived at our room I was happy to see a nicely updated room. The bathroom was completely remodeled. The room itself was equally clean and updated. My favorite was the very very comfortable beds, the best sleep I’ve had during my entire week long trip around Arizona. But the best part is, you walk out of the lodge and the Grand Canyon is right in front of you! My kids and I walked outside to the rim around 10 pm to watch the stars. So amazing as well to see the Canyon dimly lit up by the full moon! And how lucky to be able to walk out at sunrise, and peacefully watch over the Grand Canyon before the rest of the crowd arrives. Kachina Lodge is perfectly located on the rim to allow you mere steps to be at the edge of the Canyon and be close walking distance to various eateries at other lodges. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable! You will NOT be disappointed staying at Kachina Lodge!

We loved staying here. It’s not the nicest place you could stay, but the rooms are updated and clean. The main selling point is that you can walk out the door onto the rim of the Grand Canyon. The setting is fabulous. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Just beware that parking is extremely limited and if you get a spot, you might want to keep it and just walk or shuttle everywhere.

We were able to get one of the last rooms available for our one-day visit. You must book rooms in advance via their website or as in our case, via phone. Unfortunately, it did not have great views since our room faced a parking lot. However, upon leaving the lodge, you have the Grand Canyon in front of you. You could not ask for a better view.

The room was “dated” but very clean and it lacked nothing. The bed was comfortable. There is a mini fridge in the room. They have recycling bins in the room!

Be aware that you are given access to WiFi but only for one device. The WiFi came and went, it was very weak.

There is a trail to walk down into the Canyon, where the view gets better with each step. It was definitely worth the stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Grand Canyon view

We stayed for just one night at the Kachina and are so glad we did! I was expected nothing more than a hostel/dorm like atmosphere and was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was clean and had updated decor and fixtures. Soap, lotion and dryer were provided. The room was nice, had a mini fridge and nice cupboard. The walls were thick so we heard no noise from neighbors. The view was terrific and nice to be able to walk right out to the canyon rim. Check in was at the nearby El Tovar but not a big deal. Close to everything. I felt safe, and would stay again.

Room Tip: 6319 has a nice view

We stayed for two nights, parking lot view. Room was a good size, clean, very quiet, no complaints. Unless you sit in your room staring out the window, we thought this was fine since all you have to do to see the canyon is walk outside.
