On our way to hike to Foresters Pass, Sequoia National Park, CA we stayed one night at Stony Creek campground. It's a very large site with a range of great spots. We found one right along the river so while not at water level it was a short walk down bank to the fast moving water and we heard that sound all night. It had great access, good washrooms (pay meters for showers) and our site had a water tap so that made clean up easy.
Note that when you arrive the booking system is self managed. You have to go to the central board, sign in your spot, take a card and put the card on your site.
We really liked this site and would definitely stay there againMore
