Great Sunday lunch here with a nice bottle of wine. Good choice of vegetables and it was cooked very well. I recommend the poached pear for dessert.

Food was served from 6 pm and included an impressively large range for the time of year. I am always glad to have a real fire to sit beside, and the beer was in good form too.

On arrival the dated furnishings were a little sad and worn and as if we had stepped back to 1980. Dirty floor and seating.
We had booked after a recommendation from our holiday cottage owner, it was a special birthday for our dad and one which had gathered 3 generations of family together. They had our booking for two weeks but on arrival had failed to mention that it was a tapas menu. We had 3 small children with us who wanted simple good food. As it turned out there had been a tapas night the day before and no one had attended so the left over food had become the menu for the following night. After reading the "leftovers" we mainly decided on Fish and chips as only other option. This arrived in good time but raw in the middle and lacking in fish in some portions of batter. Totally spoilt dad's birthday as quite possibly the worst place I've ever eaten in my life. Atmosphere and attitude of the staff was the final straw. We left as quickly as possible and will never go there again.
