“Sweet, cosy cottage in an excellent location.”
Reviewed 3 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

This little cottage is in an excellent location close to all the walks, meres and amenities in Ellesmere. Its only 40 minutes drive to catch the Park and Ride into Chester and 40 minutes the other way brings you to all the Ironbridge Museums.
The cottage is clean and cosy. The owners (who live next door) are thoughtful and welcoming.

We agree with previous reviewers that a few more items (plates, glasses) would be helpful.

“Great cottage in a fantastic location”
Reviewed 17 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Simon and Jude were incredibly helpful from the start and were amazingly friendly. They got the balance just right of making sure we knew they were there if we needed them, but didn't interfere at all.

The cottage is lovely - exposed beams, inglenook fireplace, ray burner cooker. It has obviously been recently decorated and was lovely and clean on arrival. It's situated a few minutes walk from the town, 5 minutes from the canal and 10 minutes from The Mere. Further afield, there's the North Wales countryside and its small towns, and bigger cities like Chester and its attractions.

In summary, it's a lovely holiday cottage in a great location

“Apple Tree Cottage 2014”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Very comfortable cottage, the work carried out and the decor used in the cottage was perfect. Within easy reach of amenities, can walk in to Ellesmere literally 100 or so from the cottage, select small shops as well as high street supermarkets including Tesco's and the Co-oP, as well as banks and a Post Office. Good selection of eateries on the doorstep. There are many beautuful walks and the Mere. A great cottage also to venture further afield, like Whichurch, Oswestry, Much Wenlock, Iron Bridge etc

Liked best: The kitchen was great everything to hand, could have done with some more cooking utensils and one or two pans the teflon coating had been scratched
Liked least: I struggle at the top of the stairs, would be ideal to have a hand rail on the opposite side to the banister (other than that there is nothing that I liked the least)

“Quiet cosy cottage with all the mod cons, ideally situated”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Great cosy, well appointed cottage in a very quiet street, the owners give you a complete run down of the cottage so nothing is left to ponder, great secluded off street parking.
Large spacious bedrooms, well appointed kitchen with all the cooking equipment needed.
Ideally located just off the central square of Ellesmere. Within 5 min walk to all the restaurants, pubs and shops the town has to offer.
