This inn was extremely disappointing. While the inn had a beautiful location and our room was pretty the attitude of the staff ruined our stay there. No one smiled, no one asked if we required any assistance with our luggage. At dinner, staff appeared annoyed that my wife had certain food allergies. Breakfast seemed to have been brought in from the local big box store. All this for a place that was very pricey

We stayed in the mansion itself, in the Seyval. The room was beautifully decorated. We were greeted with a bottle of wine to share on the balcony overlooking Keuka Lake. We spent the day hiking and visiting wineries. Then returned for an excellent dinner. You will have trouble booking a stay in the summer on the weekends because the Mansion is booked for weddings. We stayed Tuesday through Thursday and had a wonderful time.

I can't say enough negatives about this experience. We booked on-line and they told us that you never get a mansion room with an on-line booking. We stayed at the inn. We paid for a view and a continental breakfast. There was no view to be had at all. Rooms were very unimpressive.

The continental breakfast was terrible. We watched the bartender add what seemed like a huge amount of water to the orange juice and it tasted it. The french toast sticks were hard and overcooked. The quiche was something you would find at Wegmans or BJ's. The selection was shameful.

The staff was unwilling to give us the kind of room we thought we booked on-line unless we paid what seemed like an unfair additional rate. We were under the impression that we had reserved a room with a view in the mansion.

It was very overpriced at $162.00 and some change. Spend your time finding a place that is worth your drive and your money.

Our stay at Esperanza Mansion could not have been more enjoyable!! From the beautifully appointed rooms, exquisite panoramic view of beautiful Keuka Lake, the pleasant and eager -to- help knowledgeable professional staff, to the top notch food which was to die for and the thoroughly enjoyable excursion on the Esperanza Rose, we wonder how we haven't stayed here more. We're already planning our next stay. For the best possible experience you can give yourself in the Finger Lakes region, indulge a bit and hie thee to the Esperanza Mansion. A. Bianchi. Hilton, NY
