Belcote, as seen on approach has the appearance of a traditional fisherman's cottage, but be ready for a 'TARDIS' experience as the carefully extended rear of the house opens up into a splendid family room with a well equipped kitchen, spacious dining area and a living area with the most wonderful bi-fold doors opening on to the sun terrace, garden playroom and access to the beach.
The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are equipped with the most modern fittings. There is also a drying/boot room should the weather turn inclement.
The cottage is a stroll from good quality shops, good pubs and of course the golf club.
Everything about the house is well designed and has been made ready for an exceptional holiday or weekend break.
Second visit to this property. Owners could not be more helpful. 4 bedrooms (including one downstairs) and a 5th bedroom/TV room with sofa bed, great for kids - all beautifully maintained and well equipped, including table tennis in garage (also great for storing golf stuff and bikes). Elie is a great place to visit for families, even in winter - two great pubs with food within walking distance, farm shop along road and the Pavillion at the golf club/tennis courts also a stone's throw away, perfect for a quick bite/ice cream. Beach on the doorstep, and golf courses too of course. St Andrews a short drive away. Hope to visit again soon.
Myself and a group of friends spent a weekend is the fabulous cottage at the beginning of December. We were celebrating a 40th birthday. The cottage was well equipped with all we needed. it has been refurbished to a high standard which made for a comfortable stay. It is located a stones throw from the beach which we took full advantage of (yes in December) for early morning walks.
Can't wait to visit again.
Beautiful house, with very well appointed kitchen and stunning open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
Fabulous location, so close to the beach.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage in Elie, we enjoyed it so much the first time that we just had to go back. Lovely spacious kitchen with a cosy area around a wood burning stove where we could all sit and catch up... bliss. Easy access to the beach walk that invariably ends at The Ship Inn where a warming tipple was required.
Looking forward to returning next year.
