No view mind you as it overlooks an ugly park but:

1)rustic but renovated and new rooms
2) good free wifi
3) excellent breakfast
4) good staff
5) smackdown downtown

By the way there is literally NO other hotel in town with all 5. Somegood ones further our and several crapy or creepy ones downtown.

Home away from home (i should know, been here like 20 times)

Its a 24 room 4 star property. The rooms are quite large and some rooms get a balcony. Perfectly good stay. But points to note. The rooms in front of property is noisy with students congregating day and night and revving their bikes. If you park in the underground car park best of luck getting your car out. The rooms are incredibly dimly lit, bathroom is very dark. The shower head is at at stomach level so figure that one out. Clean and airy place.

A very nice boutique hotel only a very short distance from the harbour and bars and restaurants. Nicely appointed rooms and a good breakfast selection. Pretty period features throughout. The only negative was that our room faced onto the small square at the back of the hotel and there was noise on the Saturday and Sunday evenings until very late.

Very elegantly decorated hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite. Thanks to everbody who are a part of this nice hotel. Hope to come again in the near future. Breakfasts are more than satisfactory. You can find whatever you want. Quite and comfortable rooms/beds. Just a minute walk away to the center where you can find many good restaurants and cafes.

We spent a few days at Theofilos Paradise in late August 2017. First of all, let me say that Lesvos is a beautiful island. I have traveled to numerous Greek islands and, while all have their charm, Lesvos is filled with color, beauty, great geographical texture and wonderful people. Beautiful mountains, valleys, villages, restaurants, beaches and warm, welcoming people. It is a big island with numerous beaches and mountains and lots to offer. The island has been unfairly labeled with fears of refugee driven unrest, which simply is just not the case. Yes, there are a couple of refugee centers on the islands - but they are populated by families seeking peace and a new life away from the persecution they have left behind. I believe the statistic is that some 170,000 refugees have passed through Lesvos, while there are only about 4,000 remaining, awaiting final review of their asylum appeals. Setting aside this horrible humanitarian crisis, the people of Lesvos have (while suffering their own challenges as part of an economically difficult Greek economy) found the heart and kindness to do their best in assisting the refugees. At NO time did I feel ANY concern (whether it was eating out late in Mitillini or driving to different parts of the island), if you didn't know this was a refugee transit point, you would have absolutely NO IDEA that it was going on!! I was with my wife and two sons (16 and 11) and we only felt welcomed everywhere. Back to Theofilos Paradise, this hotel was a diamond in many ways. The quality of the rooms was excellent. I'm not sure if the hotel is new or recently renovated, but the finishing were first class and what I would expect of a luxury hotel in the English or French countryside. It's tucked away off the main harbour in Mitillini - so both quiet and with easy access to the town's restaurants and cafes. The staff were super helpful. To be sure, its in the town, so you dont have grounds to wander, but you do have the town at your doorstep. There is a wonderful rooftop bar and small pool that will make any adult content to have a coffee during the day or a drink in the evening while contemplating the passage of time and the next pursuit to add to one's life's goals. The breakfast was plentiful with numerous choices - having a simple palate, I would recommend adding some scrambled eggs to the hot pot. Other than that, its status as the number one hotel in Mitillini is well deserved. I would highly recommend the hotel and the island!
