We really enjoyed our time at Tara House. It was clean, spacious and stocked with what you need. The view is just incredible. One tip; although there is a food land in Ferryland, the selection in very limited, so if you plan to cook your own meals a lot you may want to get groceries in St. John's or Bay Bulls.

We had the pleasure of staying at Tara house for 9 days in July. The house was beautiful very well kept it had everything we needed for a great vacation. The view from the living room and master bedroom were gorgeous. It was so nice of the owners to provide us with some groceries to get us by. We met a lot of the locals who were so friendly and gave us tips on what to do in the area. Tara house is a home away from home, we will definitely be coming back again.

This lovely place is more house than cottage, set on a rise and with no immediate neighbours, making it very private. The beds are excellent, the kitchen is completely outfitted, the bathroom is luxurious. We ate breakfast (when it wasn't raining!) on the balcony overlooking the water. Selena kindly provided milk, bread, eggs, etc. and checked up to make sure everything was good. There were only two of us but there was more than enough room for a family or two couples. It's just outside Ferryland and quite near to three restaurants as well as the East Coast trails where we hiked.
Accommodations were excellent. Spacious, clean and everything you needed was there if you were inclined to cook. The owner Selena gave us great suggestions for things to do in the area from taking in some local theater in Ferryland to whale watching at Gatherall's in Bull's Bay. Talking to locals was interesting as well as entertaining. We had a smile on our faces the whole visit.
Lovely accommodation: loved the wood fire, the cosy bed, the fully-equipped kitchen and especially the VIEW. There's a trailhead for the East Coast Trail right across the road with gorgeous hikes in both directions. Easy drive to/from St John's and around the Irish Loop.
