It seems all the hotels on the west side of the island are quite old and have infrastructure problems. Even though we heard that guest had problems here, our room even though quite old was fine and overlooked the little private adult beach.
This is a sister hotel to the Aitutaki Island Resort and had the same look and feel which was now familiar for us.
Looks like the small private beach was enjoyed by most guests but could nt be compared to the Aitutaki lagoon.
Next door is the Raratonga caters for families and run by same ownership group.
The service was very friendly. Not sure about the food area being in sand but a different feel that's for sure.
I could imagine that it would get very hot here in summer.More
