The Indian Kitchen is situated in Bruton high street, with parking available outside or from a short walk from the free carpark situated just before Bruton railway station. It is very bright and clean. This has been the fourth time I have had a meal at this restaurant and I have always found the staff very friendly and welcoming. There is a slight step over at the entrance but it is relatively flat so has wheelchair access. I like the fact that you are able to bring your own drink, (should you forget the local Spar store next door or Central by the Bridge keep good working hours to enable you to purchase drinks and take them in) so you don't have the large surcharge on alcohol that can bump the total bill price up considerably.
The food when it arrived as you can see from my pictures was extremely fresh, colourful and delicious. I can particularly recommend the Tandoori King Prawn which were plentiful, succulent with wonderfully tasty spices. All the rice accompaniments egg fried rice, mushroom rice and the steamed rice were cooked perfectly, the poppadum starters were crisp and not oily with freshly made yoghurts, onion chutney and mango chutney. The chicken tikka masala, vegetable darziling, chicken vindaloo and naan were all cooked perfectly and tasted fresh spiced to perfection.
I can highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Indian cuisine. The service was friendly, respectful and efficient. Particular thanks to Taz for making us all have a really enjoyable evening.
