Brick House is a mile from the Wales Coast Path, a good stopping off point between Cardiff and Chepstow. The owners were accommodating about accepting delivery of my bags early in the morning (much appreciated). Something about the accommodation felt strangely austere, but it was OK for a night, and I was grateful to be able to stop there. Wi-fi did not work well in the room but improved on the stair well. I left before breakfast was served, but the owner did provide me with fresh milk for tea or coffee, and, upon request, two bananas. I certainly would stay at Brick House again under similar circumstances, but would not go out of my way to seek it out.

A very friendly welcome, great rooms and excellent breakfast. Just 10 minutes from the Motorway in the countryside it's an ideal place to stay. Facilities were good, rooms very clean. Highly recommended.

We had three generations staying at the Brick House over the long weekend. We were all very pleased with the guest house and would be keen to go back another time. The rooms were well furnished, spotless and comfortable, and the team of hosts were very kind and helpful - especially Christine who really went out of her way to look after us and cater our varied needs. Thank you!

Hidden minutes from the motorway you are in a different place.... the welcome is friendly and the house amazing. We have stayed many times over the last 3 years and will do so again. The furnishings are traditional and whilst some may find it dated, it is extremely clean and functional. Technology is not high on the list, however given the location and the functionality of current mobile devices it has not been a problem. Whether you are looking for a different outlook or just to chill for a couple of nights this is well worth a visit. There is a small bar but we never used the facility and breakfast was from about 7.30 to 9.00 and cooked to order.

Room Tip: Have only stayed in en-suite...some toilets are electric but work absolutely fine

stayed for only one night while attending wedding locally, rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. location very quiet and picturesque and the breakfast was good but not over adequate. would be a really good location for anyone wanting good homely location and peace and quiet. only a very small bar with limited range which i would imagine opens on demand.
