Starting with one of my top important things in a hotel: the food. Le Jas de Joucas only serve one meal per day which is the breakfast. And unfortunately it is awful. There are flies all over the food.

The rooms? The are very clean. However, the air-con doesn't work very well and the wifi signal is not available on them.

According to the location of the hotel, it is quite bad because it's far from every interesting city in Provence and the signs for you to get there are terrible. Specially during the night.

In conclusion, this hotel is far from being a 4,5 star. There are lots of good hotels in Provence and this is definitely not one of them. Don't waste your money.

Dear guest,
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
We are surprised that you were not satisfied with our breakfast. It's the first time we see such comment. Furthermore, you check "very good" for everything on your survey...
There is no big city close to our house, but there are a lot of things to do and see, and we are always here to help our guest to choose what they want to see. If you want to stay in a city, our place is not for you. Our guest love our house for the pool, the walks, and the quiet.
Kind regards,
Nathalie

We stayed 10 nights in a Junior Suite and had an absolute ball!! We arrived and got a lovely welcome from Natalie and Dominique who told us where to visit around the area. We were then shown to our room which was immaculate and spacious and cleaned every day. Breakfast in the morning was a treat with bread, eggs, jams etc. (all organic). We then basically did not much else other than sunbathe around the beautiful pool and go walks. We visited Gordes, Gault, Rousillon, Joucas Oppedie les Vieux and had a lovely canoe down a beautiful river at Fontaine de Vacluse. Some nights we ate out in Joucas at the lovely Brasserie de la Terrace and other nights we stayed in and got bread and salami and wine etc and played floodlit Petanque with some of the other lovely guests.
Natalie and Dominique were always a delight and the only sounds that you could hear were the critters in the trees and the very well behaved guests kids splashing around in the pool! Absolutely wonderful.
We shall be booking again for next year!

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice and they have a couple of apartments as well.

From the warm welcome to the great scenary and atmosphere this has the feel of staying with a nice family in the hills of luberon.

we stayed here for 4 nights with our infant daughter and had a great experience from start to finish staying here. Nathalie and her husband are very warm and welcoming and happy to cater to any need. its worth nothing this is more like a B&B rather than a hotel - you cant get food outside of breakfast here, so no service by the pool or in your room so you need to drive out and pick up supplies or eat out every night. This was the only downside to the whole experience for me, as everything else here is just right. Wifi connection is a bit patchy fyi.

would highly recommend you spend a night or two here as its a great location to Gordes and Rousillion where there are an abundance of places to eat, drink and see.

Room Tip: we had the suite, which was extremely well apportioned.

Dear Sunit,

I am so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your recent experience with us.

You are right, the Jas de Joucas is a kind of hidden treasure in the heart of luberon ;-)

Our regular guests appreciate a lot the comfort and calm they find here.

Thanks for letting us know regarding the Wifi connection, we will check how we can best improve it.

We hope to see you again ;-)

Yours truly,

Nathalie and the team

This hotel is wonderful. Very good location, not far from Gordes, extraordinary nature, delicious and healthy breakfast and of course, wonderful rooms (very clean and cosy). Even if there are many hotels that have the same criteria as this one, this one stands out from the crowd.

Firstly, because of the constant Natalie's attetion to every visistor, everything was just marvelous. Breakfast - was very splendid. Every morning the menu was different and homemade. Food was made from ecological products - even the eggs were taken from natural chickens. Rooms are cleaned couple of times a day. Every time when you come back to the rooms the room smells like lavenders. Everywhere we were feeling that there was huge attention to the client.

Secondly, the nature itself is just wonderful - hotel is situated on a hill. Oaks and pines were all over the place. The view from the pool is stunning - it encourages you to get deep into philosofical reflections, especially when there is sunset.

Calmness, tranquility, and harmony ... Even though the hotel was fully booked the other guests were great - respecting each others privacy. Families with kids, couples - but no noise near the pool. To raise children like this it is possible only for the french. :) Recommendations of Madam Natalie are very valuable - we edited the route of our trip, visited in wonderful french kitchen restaurants. And after those wonderful evenings, we didn't even gain any kilos because the food was not only tasty but also right.

We found this hotel randomly. And this was the pearl why our trip became wonderful. Ideal price and quality ratio. We live in remembering and for sure we will come back.
P.S. We want to say a big thank you for all the love that Natalie and her husband put into this job.

Le Jas de Joucas was a beautiful place, with great scenic views, putting one right in the midst of nature! We had a spacious room, with a big bathroom and a comfortable bed. One great thing the room had was air-conditioning, just in case it was warm in the day.

Natalie's home-made breakfast was a wide spread, with many different and yummy cakes that she made, local produce and fruits. We were spoilt for choice on what to eat. A special note on Natalie, she is such a warm host! We were so thankful for her hospitality in waiting for us when we arrived late and lost our way, and in making reservations for us at good restaurants. This house is nearby many of the Provencal villages so that it was easy for us to travel around. Only wished that we had more time to spend within the farmhouse to enjoy the beautiful pool.

We really hope to be back soon!
