We spent a few days in April at the Villas with Jacquie and had the most amazing time. The Villas are wonderful, her staff is friendly and can't do enough for guests, and the food .... exceptional! As a trained chef Jacquie will make anything you would like using seasonal ingredients and fusion cuisine. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had, just like visiting with dear family and friends and wined and dined, at all times. Cant wait to return.

Room Tip: Bring sunscreen and a hat, prepared to relax

My family and I checked into The Villas At Sunset Lane after a poor experience at another hotel on the island. After consulting TripAdvisor (thanks, guys!) we were encouraged to check availability at The Villas...and were thrilled when we were told that we would be able to get a room.

The Villas lived up to its glowing reviews, and far exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jackie, the owner/chef. To call Jackie warm and hospitable would be an understatement. She showed us to our room, turned on some music, and asked if she could prepare a local lunch for us. For all of the foodies out there - this is definitely the place for you because Jackie went to culinary school! I greatly miss her cheese sandwiches (a spread made with pepper seasoning), carrot cake, tea, and lemonade made with fresh ingredients from her garden. Another thing to keep in mind is that Jackie customizes her meals based on your preference and dietary needs...so if you are a raw vegan, she will whip up something to keep you in check.

In addition to the fantastic food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and beverages), the actual building is pristine. Immaculate! The Villas at Sunset Lane boasts a number of private suites (I believe 10), 2 cottages that resemble small bungalows, a pool, a gym, and massage rooms. It's location is very private, overlooking the turquoise ocean. While it is not on the beach, it is only about an 8 minute walk... or a 2 minute shuttle ride away. Jackie also has some friends on the beach that will get you situated with beach chairs and umbrellas.

While The Villas is only a few years old, it runs like a well established boutique hotel. It is a place that I would expect to be featured in a magazine citing where stars travel to due to its privacy and its personal level of service. Oh, and the staff is top notch. In addition to Jackie, Ryan and Ms. Thomas keep The Villas looking beautiful and its guests happy. The knowledge that each of them has can help make your stay in Antigua truly special - whether you choose to leave the hotel and explore the island, or remain at The Villas and just relax. This is a great place for families with adult children, couples, or a girls' weekend. It has mass appeal.

If you are looking for a "home away from home" in Antigua, and an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind hotel, look no further than The Villas at Sunset Lane! I can't wait to return...Jackie, we miss you!

I recently stayed at The Villas at Sunset Lane on a “girls trip” with some friends. No sooner had we arrived, than we were already being asked if we would like some rum punch and if the host/owner/chef Jackie could fix us something for lunch. That was just the beginning of the royal treatment we received at this fabulous boutique hotel. Not only was it just like a home away from home, but it was also a pampering getaway. Between the half hour massage each of us received as part of our package, the boat tour around the island that included visiting a small beach island and guided snorkeling, the absolutely delicious food prepared by Jackie, and of course the nearby beach, this truly was a trip that delighted all tastes and senses!

Jackie was both a gracious and welcoming host, who shortly after our arrival communicated the “one rule” of the house – the kitchen is always open! In fact, not only could we help ourselves to a drink or snack (and of course the delicious rum punch) at any time, but one night we even got to help in the kitchen and prepare the dessert! Jackie also asked us what we would like to do during our stay and offered options and suggestions to help us plan out our visit (I definitely recommend visiting Shirley Heights to anyone who comes to the island!). Another welcoming event was a wine tasting held on the premises that Jackie had organized with a local wine bar/shop. Finally, of course it cannot go unmentioned that EVERYONE on the staff was friendly and eager to accommodate, especially Ryan who was always available if we needed anything and also took us all to some of the island attractions.

Overall, Jackie offers impeccable service and warm hospitality in an inviting paradise-like setting with gourmet meals that you will still be thinking about long after you’ve enjoyed them. Such personal attentiveness and attention to detail truly makes the Villas at Sunset Lane a unique experience.

We had a very good stay at this place. It's really more of a B&B than a hotel - and there are only a few rooms. This allows a very personal level of service and a very cozy, warm feeling. Jackie is quick to offer you food and ensure you have anything you need. Ryan was very accommodating and helpful, taking us all over the Island. The food was delicious but wasn't cheap, and before you accept a bunch of offers for food and drinks, be sure to look at a menu and know what the prices are. A lunch and a few beers quickly cost us more than we thought.

The hotel is a short 10 minute walk to a great beach, where there are a number of restaurants and bars. It's a 10 minute drive to downtown; however, it's not the safest or most attractive place to visit so you are not really missing out on the night life much by staying here.

The rooms are very clean, well appointed and quiet. The pool, patio and balcony are private and tranquil all day and night. The sunset is breathtaking, the stars and moon are amazing from this peaceful retreat. The views from the balcony and rooms facing the ocean are picturesque.

I recently stayed at the Villas at Sunset lane with my girlfriend for 5 evenings. It was a much needed vacation. Jacki, Ryan, Ms. Thomas and the rest of her staff were fantastic the entire time. We emailed Jacki prior to the trip and let her know about our plans. She responded and let us know everything would be taken care of. Ryan picked us up at the airport and drove us everywhere we wanted to go. This was a huge convenience and money saver. The food was fantastic. Jacki went out of her way to accommodate my gfs dietary restrictions. We enjoyed several dinners on the balcony watching the sunset. It was perfect. Breakfast was always tasty and set us up for the day. Jacki even went the extra mile to pack us lunch and beers when we went sailing. I would highly recommend staying at the villas at sunset lane and can not wait to return.

Room Tip: Stayed in Villa 3, great view!!!
