It's just some rocks that have been eroded into the shapes of pillars. I wouldn't make a special journey to see them. If you see them as part of a boat trip (like we did) then fine.

We went out from Galleon Beach with our wonderful experienced guide, Bernie from Snorkeling Antigua. We did not go right up to the Pillars but close enough. The water is deeper but very clear so you can see everything including tons of fish, coral and amazing rock formations. The current was pretty strong the day we went. We always use swim vests anyway while snorkeling but I was real glad that day because even with it on I was pretty tired by the time we got back into the Beach area near the sunken ship where the current seemed to dissipate.

Stopped by here while on the Adventure Antigua Circumnav excursion, the rocks are amazing. Snorkeling here is so fun, there was so much to see that I thought I would miss the boat!

We stopped at the Pillars for snorkeling during a day sail down the coast. The water is clear and there is good coral and nice fish in the area. Most of the site is deep, though, so best if you like to dive down. Those among us who stayed on the surface couldn't see much.
