“Fantastic day on the water”

Tranquilo Sailboat Cruise
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 3 March 2018 via mobile

It's become an annual tradition of ours to visit Anthony, Buster and the crew of the red boat and it was a great time.
There's nothing fancy or pretentious about the day. It's a chance to see more of Aruba with a friendly bunch who knows how to relax and take care of their guests.
There's 2 snorkeling opportunities per trip and you can sit and sunbathe on the boat if that's not your thing.
Dutch pea soup and chicken salad sandwiches are delicious after the work of snorkeling and a tasty rumpunch washes it all down so easily.
Admiral Buster patrols the boat and keeps everyone safe from flying fish on the sail back to the marina.
We always meet new people and learn something about the island on our visits.
Looking forward to our 4th cruise next year!

Thank Denise U

Spent a day with the crew of the Tranquilo, on their lunch snorkeling adventure. Day started out motoring south to the snorkel location. Crew was very attentive, Capt'n Anthony was great about answering questions. Snorkel location was a great, we stuck around for the drift snorkel which was very worth it! lots of amazing fish, and large coral features. The sail back was amazing. Awesome adventure, would recommend to anybody!

Booked this outing based on previous reviews. Would not do again, or recommend to others.

Trip began by motoring south down the west side of the island. Pretty unappealing, going by the industrial area, desalination plant and the smoldering, odiferous garbage dump. Baffled as to why we would cruise by the most unattractive part of the island.

Snorkeling - really poor. Did the drift snorkeling, was depressing because almost all the coral is dead. Not many fish. We could be spoiled, having snorkeled in Hawaii, but really not worth doing.

Crew - was fun doing a little fishing, but the captain was pretty uncommunicative unless directly asked a question. Little narration while cruising. Rest of the crew helpful and eager to get you drinks.

Ride back, under sail, was the best part. If you like to drink, there's plenty of alcohol served. But we went thinking it would be a fun snorkeling outing, and it was a big disappointment.

This is a must do when on the island. The personal service you receive from Captain Anthony and his crew you just don’t get on the big sails. Sailboat is in excellent condition and the snorkeling is incredible. The drift snorkel is a must do.
They also do private supper cruises. This is a very romantic trip with just you, your significant other and crew on board. After an great sail anchor up while they cook a 5star restaurant meal for you.

We went on Tranquilo for a day long snorkel trip. There were 12 of us on board, two crew and Anthony the captain and his side kick Buster the dog. Rise and Dwayne were very helpful assisting with bags, gear, drinks, food and answering any questions.
We had two snorkel stops, one was traditional and the other was a
" drift" snorkel that was so amazing! Only six of us participated in this. Anthony took us out in the small boat, over the reef in deeper water. We all stuck together and the boat followed us. I've never snorkeled so deep before it was AMAZING! I never felt nervous, Anthony runs a great trip!
When we got back to Tranquilo we fad a great lunch and plenty of it! It was a great day on the water with a great group! We WILL be back
