My husband and I had friends visiting and they wanted to go to the Boatyard as they had some activities for kids there (floating iceberg, hanging rope to jump into water) instead of just plain beach. When we were there it was not as full as it was still low season however winter times it gets packed because lots of tourists from cruisers go there. The entrance is 50BBD but that is also your credit towards food and drinks. Staff is very bubbly and chatty and the food in Sharkey ( the restaurant) was very good and so were the frozen daiquiris. The prices are standard for Barbados so you will not get ripped off more than in any other place on the island.
Water is amazing and clean and good for young children as it is shallow and the sea is generally calm.

This has to be one of the best places I visited on my trip. The beach and emerald waters alone make it worth the effort and small admission fee ($50 Bajan). This price also includes lunch and drinks as the entrance is $5. There are a number of activities to do there, including water park, mini boat tour that allows you to snorkell with the turtles. This is also included in the entrance fee. Coupled with good vibz from the DJ and bar good rimes guaranteed!!

We recently called into Barbados on our cruise in the Caribbean, we had visited Barbados before but never on a cruise so the visit to the Boatyard was a new experience for the both of us, and a great experience it certainly proved to be. We had heard about this place from fellow passengers and decided to give it a try, what a great decision that proved to be, we made our own way and paid the entrance fee at the door, the entrance fee covered a couple of sun loungers, umbrella, and of course a free rum punch, a very good rum punch I must say, shower and changing facilities as well as food were available and a free transfer taxi back to the ship. A truly great experience and it should not be missed the next time you find yourself in Barbados visit the Boatyard and tell them that the man with the Red beard sent you. a real great day out.

Well the people I went with including myself loved it so much that we visited 3 times in 2 weeks, great atmosphere, great food and great value for money.
A really great place to chill in the sun with friends and family.
Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about places to go around the island.
This year there was a free boat ride for about an hour, were you could go out swimming in the sea and snorkelling over a ship wreck, people in our party loved it and did it twice, the crew on boat, were really good encouraging everyone to have a go and taking food to encourage fish and turtles to come around us whilst snorkelling, I hope this activity continues to be free.
Thanks for making our holiday great
Love the owner S, he is a star and a very good employer to his staff

To enter It cost me $25/person. $20 towards food. Price also includes a boat tour plus chair and umbrella but chairs and umbrellas were 1st come 1st serve and very limited since cruise ships crowds are there. Drinks were ok. Bar scene was cool. I believe it’s sits on Browns Beach.
