"We're going on the submarine", my husband proudly announces. Well, I really didn't want to go. The boat trip out, the transfering from boat to sub, the climbing down into the sub..... Wow. I am sooo glad he made me do it! Its an experience of a lifetime! The boat trip was about 15 minutes and is filled with safety info from the staff. The sea was a bit choppy when we went, but the guys have clearly dealt woth different people with different dispositions and make sure you get on board the sub safely and happy. Theres a ladder sown into the sub of about 11 steps, but they are on hand to assist and there is a handrail either side
We were lucky the day we went, the sub was only half full so we all spread out, but it was easy to see that even on a full day, theres plenty of space and potholes to see out of. Once the Captain starts to submerge, any motion of the sea goes and then the wonder starts! We saw lots of different fish and 4 sea turtles. The commentry was brilliant and the captain would turn the sub to point out different things he was seeing too. If you are in two minds about doing it - DO IT !

This is a once in a lifetime type of experience. As far as I know, they don’t offer this anywhere else in the Caribbean.

The staff is so friendly and make the whole experience very entertaining for you.

Being in the submarine is comfortable, with AC and a very nice and welcoming crew. It is awesome seeing the bottom of the ocean and all the coral and fish that swim by. It was a highly enjoyable afternoon and we are glad we did it :)

What and experience this was, my wife did not want to go but after the trip she has not stopped talking about it and if we get the Barbados again she is going again.
From the moment we arrived everything was explained to us and we went out to a large boat which took us to the submarine some 10 minutes away. One there we boarded the Sub and sat facing the large porthole type windows. On the walls were photographs of the various sea creatures we could see. Again everything was explained to us and we dived down and went out to the reef and sunken boat, we went to a max depth of 150ft and were lucky to see a turtle swimming by. The captain turned the boat round so people on the other side could also see it.
We saw various schools of fish and the crew on board gave a running commentary on what we could see.
Once back on the surface we boarded the boat back to shore and were given Rum Punch to celebrate.
Its a day I will never forget, seeing all the various sea life from a submarine.

Thank Alpat

very enjoyable and time well spent , I loved browsing around the souvenir shop and the attention given to every individual with photo memorabilia. The underwater experience is amazing and well worth the trip out to see. Had a great time made some great memories.
