Short drive from Kralendijk down the Kaminda Sorobon road from the circle at Van Den Tweel heading south east. Looks like nothing from the road but very pleasant and attractive inside. We heard about it during a dive from some locally. You can brunch and hang out all day Sundays too. Some of the guests had arrived early to swim and have cocktails before dinner. Others came dressed for dinner. All fit right in.
The Chef, Danny Klein, has quite a good reputation on Bonaire. We chanced dinner last night without reservations and fortunately for us they were able to accommodate us. Apparently they stock up for each meal based on reservations, so adding two was not a big challenge. They have a very small outdoor kitchen. Good service (owner & wife of the resort are friendly and helpful). No menu was offered - we asked for dinner and they fed us -100% surprise. Last night was apparently Danny's night off, but we were still wowed by the quality of the food and the flavors. Our eggplant parmigiana first course and the homemade pasta and duck entree with fresh cheese ravioli was prepared by Antonio - a very talented chef in his own right. Antonio gave credit for the wonderful rich chocolate cake with raspberry to his French wife who is the baker. Upscale casual local hangout worth trying. Couples and families will like this place.
