You come to Bonaire to dive/snorkel, driving your rented pickup up and down the coast.
You need a home base that's clean, safe, comfortable and quiet. CCB fits the bill. It's small, well priced, and a little outside town, but it's owned by the same outfit that owns the huge Buddy Dive and other properties on the island, so they have plenty of resources.
We got the Dive/Drive package (or whatever it's called) for 7 days in Dec 2017. Truck and tanks were ready to go when we were. Rented gear that was not brand new, but solid and safe.
Grounds very pretty, lots of birdsong. Quiet as a tomb at night.
Having a kitchenette in room is sooo nice. There are plenty of restaurant options on Bonaire, but sometimes you just want to eat and crash.
Staff helpful and knowledgeable. A note to my fellow Yankees: Dutch and Bonairean people are more interpersonally reserved than us; they're not being unfriendly, they're just really laid back and kind of quiet.
It was good to have breakfast provided as part of our package. It pains me to say this because the kitchen staff were some of my favorite people to meet, but the food at CCB is just... adequate. It wasn't a problem for us because we hardly ate there besides breakfast. Lunch on the tailgate between dives and dinner out in town.
Overall, I strongly recommend Caribbean Club.More
