We are repeat visitors to Bonaire
This was our first time staying at Caribbean Club. We found the staff to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in 221. It was close enough to the restaurant/bar to pick up the WIFI and had space in the garden to string up our hammock for afternoon naps. A great place to stay if you're diving, birding, or just relaxing on a Caribbean holiday!

We were there for local food and i was trying to talk my family out of it. I am glad they did not listen. The buffet style of local food was perfect and very reasonable. The lady who served us, i wish i recalled her name, was very polite and kind. I for sure would return to this place.

Room Tip: We were there for dinner and not to stay.

A wonderful resort just a little outside of the main city away from cruise ship crowds. Staff very helpful. Very clean. Kids loved the pools. Very close to dive and snorkel sites....can walk to Oil Slick. Great facilities for diving and snorkeling.

Clean room, well-appointed, dive wash tubs and lockers. Nice patio off room, nice grounds. No blankets? They arranged truck rental, and dive tanks, and helped with equipment rental when we had a problem. Decent breakfast included. Typical Bonaire service overall - ok, but not overly accommodating (no extra effort or niceties) Oil Slick Leap dive site nearby, but almost too far to gear up and walk. Away from the town, but the town is quiet anyway.
Staff was knowledgeable about dive sites and amenities. Club is part of Buddy Dive which seems to be the busiest and best equipped dive operation on the island.
Wifi occasional - not good enough for work (if you're work in Bonaire!)
Airport service and truck rental worked out well.

Room Tip: 2nd floor for Ocean view

We stayed at Caribbean Club Bonaire at the end of February 2018 for one week. We stayed in 220, a standard one bedroom cottage. There was a bedroom with two twin beds made together as a king with a night table on one side. There was a small closet/hanging space and a chest of drawers. The bathroom was well equipped with sink, toilet and shower and some space to put our belongings. The bathroom was probably renovated recently. The rest of the cottage had a kitchenette with a half fridge, single sink and a two burner stovetop. The kitchen was equipped with sufficient dishes and cookware, however, we were disappointed that we needed to wash everything before we could use it as it had not been properly cleaned. There was no dining table, only two chairs and a small sofa and small coffee table. That was fine for sitting, but not great for eating meals. There was a ceiling fan in both rooms, airco in the bedroom and a fan on the small porch. There was a place to hang wet items outside. Room 220 does not have a private dive locker and we given the code for the communal dive locker for our wet gear. It is right near the dive shop and the rinse tanks. The room met a basic standard of clean - clean towels and bedding and surfaces, however, there were bugs that previous occupants had squished and were still on the walls.

It would have been great to have a blanket and not just a sheet on the bed.

We ate breakfast every morning at the restaurant as it was included in our package. It was fine but got redundant after a few days; toast and breads, meat, cheese, fruit (pineapple, watermelon and sometimes cantaloupe and once papaya), bacon, sausages, scrambled and hard boiled eggs. Coffee, tea, juice, water. Three mornings we were offered pancakes and omelettes.

Our first night we had dinner after we arrived. Again, the meal was fine but nothing special. We found the beer prices to be a little pricey.

We did our diving through Buddy Dive on site. It is a good set up. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. They walked us through the checkout and since we only needed tanks ans weights it was quick to set us up and explain where and how to get tanks, either on site or at the main Buddy Dive Resort (drive through).

Our package also included at truck rental. Although I had asked when booking that the price included everything and was assured it did, we were told after that insurance was not included; that was an additional $11-16/day. The truck we were given was probably one of their more "loved" trucks since they referred to it as, "that truck". It was reliable and served it's purpose.

Caribbean Club is located North of Kralendijk near the dive site of Oil Slick Leap. It is a lovely location and we enjoyed walking down to Oil Slick to view the sunsets. The downside of the location is that you're further from town and definitely need a car/truck or scooter to get to town and shop, wander, or got to other restaurants.

We know there are nicer units available. We met the owners of room 218. There unit was clean, new paint, additional furnishings and very, very clean. If we return we would want this unit.
