We first thought this was just an ordinary looking Italian restaurant up some hidden stairs but found that it served good quality Caribbean food in nice surroundings with very friendly staff. Nice cocktails were had too!

We SO enjoyed our lunch here. They very much deserve the high ratings they have. I had the garlic shrimp. My husband had the garlic octopus-both delicious!! A nice island drink is the perfect accompaniment. The staff is family & they make you feel so...welcomed and comfortable.More

The food was absolutely delicious, definitely the best meal I've had on the island all month and it tasted very fresh and high quality. The service was excellent too. They knew how to handle our large group of 11 better than other restaurants in the...city. Highly recommend trying out this restaurant.More

After having the best food and service on island. I knew i would have been writing a review. However after sitting in front of an elderly couple and cant help over hearing his criticisms of the waitress and undeserving critique of the restaurant,I decided to...co mingle my review with his criticisms. For me I wanted a wine that was not available on the menu and was offered the barefoot as a replacement. Barefoot is considered one of the best wines in the USA. The waitress apologised and I was charged less than the $60 on the menu as the replacement wine is not featured on the menu. Its Carnival time in Dominica and the very next day was the opening. Flags are all over the city. The music was fitting the atmosphere. Upon my neighbour's request it was actually lowered. I had a great time. Dominica is recovering from a category 5 hurricane and I'm sure everything is not yet fully available. But my evening was the bestMore
Thank you so much for your kind review. Even thought Dominica is recovering from a category 5 hurricane. We try very hard to fulfill our customer's needs. It was our pleasure hosting you and your companion. Looking forward to another visit whenever you are on...More
You can have better food and drinks elswhere for less. We asked for wine from the winelist, but they had none of the wines mentioned in the list. They had two other, one red and one white from a discount producer. No good wine and...they still charged ecd 60+ Then we asked for beer. Here was the nearly the same problem, but we got another one. The waitress thinks that her job is to play with her smartphone and play loud disco music. I would expect it was to serve customers. The food is ok, but expensive for what it is. So if you are looking for a place to eat where they are playing so loud music so you cann’t hear what is said, when you talk together. If you are looking for a place with no service. And if you are looking for a place where you cann’t get a decent wine and your are willing to pay overprice - then you have found it. I had read all the good reviews, that’s ehy we went there, but the must be out of date.More

I contacted this restaurant in advance to plan a 40th Birthday lunch for my close friend (total of 20 guests). They were very supportive and had great suggestions for the luncheon. We were able to pre-order the food so that when we arrived we did...not have to wait long for our lunch. Everything was delicious. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and they made us feel like family as well. I only wish is that they had air conditioning because Dominica is hot and humid! The restaurant has fans and gets a decent breeze but when you are used to air conditioning you feel the humidity.More

I just returned home from Dominica and had a wonderful trip! The island is getting back to normal to the traveler’s eye and this restaurant is amazing. I ate here with my husband for our tenth anniversary in 2016 and loved it then. I returned...to Dominica in both November ‘17 and July ‘18 post the hurricane and things are looking beautiful! The meal chef Nikel made for me a couple weeks ago was a lovely shrimp Alfredo that I really should have stopped eating long before I did. SO TASTY. I also had lunch there on my visit and was prepared a pork chop with a delicate sauce of citrus and herbs I can’t even explain. It was also excellent! Highly recommend the deviled potatoes and wow, bartender Natalia knows how to make a pina colada right!! She will make you anything else your heart desires, including some creative and colorful rum concoctions of her own craft. If you are in Roseau for a day off the cruise ship, be sure to visit Kozy’s. I walked around Roseau several days alone and never had any issues, people there are friendly and very helpful. Just ask for directions to the $3 dollar store or how to get to Independence and Kennedy. And smile and say hello to the people there! They have been through a lot in the last year and are strong, resilient souls. They can teach the rest of us a lot...More

The lovely owner of this restaurant was a really charming, helpful lady who really cares about her food and her customers. Well worth a visit whenever you visit this beautiful island. We headed out to have a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and chose Kozy's Niche to be the place we dined because it is easily the best restaurant in Roseau and the rest of Dominica by extension. We came at 9 and the restaurant was...packed, so we already knew that it was going to be a long night, but to our surprise all our meals came out in the quickest time and it was delicious to say the least. For appetizer we had cheesy garlic bread and chicken tenders (with a variety of sauces). The tenders were soft and succulent and you could see the seasoning inside the chicken!!! The garlic bread was crisp and frankly the best garlic bread I have ever had. This was followed by our main dishes, I had seafood medley (shrimp/lobster/calamari/crab)fettuccine with white wine sauce. I must admit that I NEVER order seafood but the chef convinced me that he will make it worth my while and although I was sceptical,I took him up on that promise. When I saw the dish my mouth dropped. You could see all the fresh seasoning and vegetables in the pasta and the variety of seafood overpowered the pasta and I was taken aback by the aromatic scent of the food. I took my first bite and instantly went to heaven. My only concern was that it might be fresh as that's always the case with seafood, but I stood wrong. Each bite into the food was like the first, delicious, savory and creamy. (I was so into my meal that I almost forgot I had a companion) My boyfriend was celebrating his 25th birthday and had a mind for lamb but once again the chef advised him on the prime steaks he had and that he would make it a "birthday special" and my boyfriend didn't hesitate to accept. When his meal came, we were dumbfounded. On his plate was the largest, thickest t-bone steak I had seen and THERE WAS A WHOLE LOBSTER ON TOP OF THE STEAK!!!! The plate was just beautiful and his face was beaming with excitement. He had his steak rare and that first cut into the steak had his mouth watering in anticipation. When he took the bite, he closed his eyes and said that, it was the best steak he ever had. With each cut into it, the juices were oozing out. The meat was soft and just perfect. The lobster was well seasoned with a buttery citrus topping. The night was perfect but unfortunately our stomachs betrayed us as we could go no further. 😔😔😔 Buuuuutttt we had to make room for one more!!! The cake!!!!! The cake was made by the chefs partner. It was a chocolate cake with a cream center and the design was basketball oriented. I've never in my life tasted such a moist and delicious cake. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review. Kozy's Niche had never disappointed me and they always aim to please. I felt like the first lady having dinner with the president. Each staff made it their own personal goal to make this night special even if the restaurant was filled. I love dining with them and can't wait to go back...More
