As mentioned in other reviews the pool isn't large but honestly there was plenty of room. The people that stayed there were all friendly so if you're interested in meeting new people and making some friends this is the place to go. The pool being smaller made it that much easier to meet people. We were sharing the tables in the pool bar and really all having a great time. There were some families and some older people but it was mostly younger college students on spring break which for me wasn't exactly wonderful. The walls were so thin if I were in the bathroom I could hear the people next to me. If someone just walked through the hall it echoed. When 6 frat guys moved in across the hall it was chaos. Loud music till 430 am. I left my two yr old at home so I could relax and spent all night up. The rooms are kinda far from the rest of the hotel so if u need something from your room its a bit of a hike. There isn't a spa at this hotel but it's next door there's a lil shopping center in between so u walk through that alley and the spa is right there. Very close. I had a spa treatment and the experience was so enjoyable I booked another for the day before I left. They also offer massages on the beach. The food was adequate but nothing u will crave or miss after leaving. They offer a bus to the casino every 10 min and it's a min ride. The nightclub is right next to the casino and free admission but pay for drinks. They allow the employees to go to the club as well. The male employees were mostly very in appropriate. They would say lewd things and were vulgar. When I go to breakfast I don't appreciate being hit on. My boyfriend had to say something on several occasions which made things awkward for the remainder of our stay. They offered parasailing right on the beach along with kayaks and sailing and scuba and wind surfing. There's a lot to do at the hotel and they make it so u don't have to leave if u don't want to. We did book some excursions cuz we were there for 8 days and wanted the most out of our experience. The beach was beautiful and the pool was perfect. They need more bathrooms tho. I will def stay at the riu again but maybe I'll pay a lil more to stay at one of the more upscale hotels. If u stay at the Bambu u get what u pay for but it was still a great time and I didn't regret staying there at all.
