I just returned home from this resort I was scheduled to stay at Grand Palladium Punta Cana. But when we arrived we were told that Grand Palladium Punta Cana was closed and so was Grand Palladium Bravaro. Everyone was now consolidated at Grand Palladium Palace Resort and Spa. They said this was considered an upgrade from the Punta Cana property but there was no way to be sure. There was approximately 25% capacity. This made it very easy to accommodate social distancing. Every night, 2 restaurants are open. They rotate each night. Every evening the Poseidon restaurant becomes one of the specialty restaurants. Find out the schedule from Guest Services. The best one was El Dorado.....the steakhouse. The Indian restaurant was my 2nd favorite. There IS a buffet for breakfast and lunch. This is done at Poseidon. It was fine. Typical. They did have some nice meats and cheese if you want to make a charcuterie plate. Unless you want to consider buying into their Vacation Club (time share) do NOT go with anyone in a blue shirt. I went with Paul and he told me that it was only going to take 30 minutes. It took 2 hours!! And there was no “thank you for your time” gift. The only thing they gave me was a canvas tote bag and a T-shirt. On site COVID testing was easy. Make your appointment when you arrive at the resort. They give...I just returned home from this resort

On site COVID testing was easy. Make your appointment when you arrive at the resort. They give you the result verbally immediately. By that evening they will have your formal piece of paper to give you that you will present at the airport.

They are super organized! I lost my Bluetooth speaker, not once...... but TWICE!! And each time someone found it and turned it into Guest Services. They log it into their online Lost And Found system so Carlos A. was able to look it up on the computer and then go get it and bring it to me.

TVs in the rooms are strange and don’t work sometimes. But when you call them to fix it they usually send someone rather quickly.

Our room had a power outages for two nights straight. The power would go off for a minute or so and then come back on. This happened between 3 and 5 times for two nights straight. The water also went off a few times but was back on within a minute or two. The bathroom toilet started running one night and it wouldn’t stop. It didn’t overflow but the noise was annoying. We switched rooms.

The coupon book they give you feels useless. We tried to use the coupon for $10 off a bottle of wine. The waitress said that she couldn’t take it and we had to present it during check out and they would deduct it from the total room bill. When we checked out the woman said that it should have been presented and applied at the time of ordering. Also the store on the resort would not let us use any of the coupons in the book because the coupon says “souvenir store” and the manager there said that they were not the souvenir store. But the thing is....they were the only store in the whole resort. They need to figure that out. That was very annoying.

Service generally was very great. William and Francisco and Jose from the pool bar are all amazing!!! They were friendly and fast and funny and sweet and great! Deyter was a great butler and he gave us rides around the resort when we were tired. Edwin from the spa was wonderful. He was persistent but still very friendly and helpful.

They decorated my whole room on my actual birthday. They bought in balloons and even left me a really yummy birthday cake. That was a very nice, thoughtful, unexpected touch. It totally surprised me and it made me very, VERY happy.

The shower doors are not fully enclosed. It’s more of a tub (a very good and deep jacuzzi tub!) with a hand held spray wand. But if you try to take a full shower you will absolutely get water all over the floor. They should consider installing full glass doors for the showers.
