We stayed at the Fisherman's Point across the street and this was nice to have all the shops, restaurants and even a movie theater right next door. Restaurants and beach access and views and you can see the Crews ships come in and out. Might be a little sketchy at night with Ocean's 11-night club. I was very uncomfortable with the crowd.

ON jan 14 2017 i attended the beach / Restaurant for the day. In the evening i went for a walk with my husband. i asked the security guard to sit on the beach to enjoy the sounds on the waves, she said ya thats fine. After sitting and relaxing for 10 mins another security guard approached us and told us that we had to leave. We asked him why cause we were told otherwise. He said its a private beach and its closed after 6pm, so i asked how i was suppose to know that and he said you should just know. I wasn't impressed by the miscommunication skills with no sign stating that its a private beach and no one can enter after 6pm or with the security guards cause one says one thing and the next tells you something different. Terrible place to go very disorganized and poorly managed. HUGE Disappointment !!!!!

It was nighttime and some of the shops were closed, but it was still a good opportunity to walk through and see what all was available.

A group of local Jamaican entrepreneurs arranged to meet a group of women business owners, speakers and life coaches who were arriving via a cruise ship. We agreed to meet at Island Village. It was just a short walk for them from the pier. We gathered on the large lawn for our awards presentation. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms both clean and well-stocked. The gracious hospitality of everyone they encountered delighted our guests. Before leaving they were planning a return visit to Jamaica.

This place is mainly geared up for cruise ship passengers and other tourists. Usual array of touristy shops and eateries as well as a cinema, Oceans Eleven Club and Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville.

Prices are cheaper here than at the other shopping plazas that the tour drivers will want to take you too. ( For a commission from the thieving store owners)

I loved the ice cream parlour in the complex.

Nice place to walk around on a slow\nothing day for those of you staying in near by accommodation.
