This is one of the rare resorts owned by locals, and you can tell they treat their staff right. Service is friendly and helpful. The rooms are really clean and the bonus hammock/swing on the veranda was awesome! We were on the second floor and it really WAS like being in a tree house among the palms. We had a king sized bed and it was really comfortable. The breakfast was really good, especially if you want to try local fare (they serve curried chicken, escovitched fish and brown stew chicken at breakfast) as well as fruit, toast, eggs, and really hot (They boil it- be warned), strong coffee. The breakfast doesn't start until 8 a.m. but you can get a cup of coffee starting at 7. (This is also a good time to walk on the beach before too much riffraff show up.) You can have lunch on the beach at the beach bar (excellent strawberry daquiris).
This is our third stay in Negril and we have found our favorite resort, hands down.More
