We got the Honeymoon suite #3 great oversized unit overlooking the ocean, with king bed and plenty place to move around, good size bathroom and fantastic balcony.The bartender and the entertaining department, helped understand the Jamaican culture. the food was basic but good .

We stayed at Club Ambiance March 13-20. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate since we only had 2 sunny days. The resort is tired but clean. We stayed in a superior room that was fine, housekeeping did a great job. We had a good sized backcony with a view of the Caribbean Sea. There was rather low occupancy the whole week which meant food choices were often limited but food we had was always hot & tasty. There did seem to be mostly chicken done various ways served for most meals. The beaches both nude & prude were quite small so if walking on a beach is important, this isn't the place for you. There were ample loungers at the beach likely due to the low occupancy. We enjoyed our holiday since we went to relax & spend time together. Sadly though we aren't likely to return but would like to thank the staff who were awesome. One employee in particular was the pool guy Chris-we hope you are still enjoying the glasses-thank you for being so friendly.

We thank Dee5216 for their Review and acknowledge the mixed expressions of satisfaction of various aspects of their stay and the critiques of shortcomings as well.Regretably the severe weather conditions as described,were a major deterrent to enhance the overall guests' comfort and expectations,and despite the options of alternate inside activities and entertainment offerings which normally are accepted by our guests in situations of this nature,proved very difficult to achieve the desired results.The unavoidable low occupancy during that period affected us and several other hotels islandwide due to severe weather conditions from our source markets in the United States of America which caused widescale cancellations of flights into the island.We are pleased with the positive comments about aspects of the food,the cleanliness of the resort and "to thank the staff who were awesome".We value our relationships with all our guests and appreciate the miscellaneous characteristics of their Reviews and remain steadfast in our committment to guarantee their well being by providing supreme services in a friendly relaxing environment through empowered and motivated staff and Managers.We politely invite Dee5216 to afford us another opportunity to showcase our best,by making a return visit,as their Review we feel hints at more positives than negatives and to take also the advantages of our Return Guests Loyalty Programme.

As a guest of Club Ambiance Resort, Runaway Bay, St. Ann. Jamaica, I would like to thanks to all staff of the resort for a good services. I traveled the first time to Jamaica and I met friendly people.
I had a great opportunity to see and understand your culture and test traditional food: Jamaica is a beautiful tropical country.
I enjoyed a good time and I had a good experience, I am planning future travel arrangements to Jamaica.

Despite the negative reviews, I encouraged my colleague to choose this Resort because of my previous satisfactory stay there . Boy was I in for a Rude awakening.
1st of all there was just a handful of guests there and so the resort feeling was lacking. There was no variety with the meals, chicken and pork all the way. Breakfast was usually ok though. Suffice it to say I had no issues with the Bar, Alcohol was always available during our stay. Oshane, the bar tender ensured that we got our drinks to our specification, he is an asset to your establishment as he goes out of his way to ensure that my colleague and I were at least enjoying the drinks.
We ran into several maintenance problems:
1)water pressure in the bathroom low, hot water it working.
2)shower curtain rod falling down
3) AC not functioning well
4) blow dryer cord cut
I must admit though that there were quick responses to sorting these problems out.

On a more positive note: the staff went above and beyond ,using themselves to make sure that the guests are happy.
It was humbling to see them operating on pure fumes to ensure that we didn't have any complaints. What a fantastic staff. We were going to change resorts, but decided to stay for the full duration..
I will not be going back to ambience even if I'm paid to go there. Management needs to make some changes .

We have perused the Review of Elaine R on her most recent stay with us at Club Ambiance Resort and gleaned that it was far from satisfactory from her previous visit and intimated no further considerations for another visit.We are saddened that her misfortuned stay has prompted her decision and profoundly apologise for her sub par vacation.It is encouraging though for us,despite the adverse situations mentioned in her Review,that Elaine R was a return guest and we are encouraged by this 'vote of thanks' that her prior visit influenced another recently.There is still an inexplicable pattern with comments about the restricted choices of menu options and each time,if such is repeated in future Reviews,we will again and again and again and again reiterate to the contrary.We have choices outside of Chicken,which is done in a variety of ways,Pork,local favourites such as Fish prepared in different formats,sometimes done to order by one of our Chefs stationed on the buffet line,Curried Mutton,Beef,Oxtail,a variety of Pasta dishes and assorted multiple Vegetable dishes,SeaFood medley dishes,Quiches,we have now also introduced Action Carving Stations to complement our Assorted Salads and Pastries and baked products for dessert.Even Ice Cream is served ocassionally after dinner.While not very,very often,we have also served Curried Shrimps and have special dinner pre-orders at an extra cost, for Lobster,when in Season.We are bewildered about Reviews suggesting a shortfall in our cuisine and menu offerings and choices even the fact that new menus have been introduced.We are happy Elaine R found breakfast o.k. and had no issues with the supply of beverages and alcohol at the Bar,a welcomed acknowledgement of same.We are concerned about the room problems described and apologise for the inconveniences,but encouraged by our staff responsiveness to these maintenance related issues in a timely manner.We are estactic and delighted regarding the accolades about the staff,that's a priceless commentary to the point where Elaine R decided not to change resorts,we express our gratitude not only for that applause,but to have remained with us for the entire duration of her stay.There is a desired hope that Elaine R when considering a future visit to Jamaica,will still keep Club Ambiance Resort in the forefront of her choices for hotel accommodation,as like her,we agree that a paid bribe to influence her to do so,is not the method.

This is not a 3 Star hotel!!
We were dropped off at entrance which was on the road BC it's so small that a bus can't drive in there. This place is right beside a very busy highway and the semi truck use their engine brakes throughout the night while passing by.
Cement on the entrance is all broken up and we had to push our suitcases on it to get to the front desk.
You have to use stairs to get to your room. Everything looks super old and out dated. Towels in the room were stained and they had the thinnest old small towels at the beach. Oh right, which beach?? Tiny little man made beaches. Water In their man made lagoons was up to you knee and very rocky.
No service at the beach for drink refills. Only 27 people there and by the time we had left after a week then was maybe 5 people left there.
Staff does their very best with the limited resources they have. There is only 1 restaurant which is only buffet for each meal. They have burger & fries in the afternoon. The food was simple and good.
No bottled water anywhere.
There was very little Entertainment every night.
We would say this place was way over priced!

We express our regrets to suzisheers for their huge disappointment on their recent stay at Club Ambiance Resort and realize their overall experiences and expectations were not met.The observations and comments have been circulated to all Management responders for their perusal and remedial actions where the evidence may suggest confirmation.The quote about the number of people is interesting as one wonders the time it would take to count 27 people and conclude they would have been the only guests inhouse and how this relates to a huge disappointment.Again,every single negative has been noted,we apologise for the ordinary memories of these guests' stay and use these comments for our solutions strategies including impressing on the transfer Companies,and reminding them to be more assertive, in dropping off all guests inside the resort where the driveway space is very adequate.
