Nothing special other than close to where we were staying. It was a holiday weekend so the locals packed it. Still found us some room. Not mucky at all. Some rocks in spots but otherwise nice. Oddly though there are a lot of some sort of pine trees near the beach so beware of the small cones and broken branches.

We walked over to the "Hidden beach" and its much nicer.

This is one of my favorite beaches to visit in PR. Water is clear & calm great for relaxing and kids. You can see school of fishes swim by. During the week there are no food vendors only on the weekends, I recomend taking food & beverage. The parking fee is almost $6. It offers private baths with showers for a daily fee of 50 cents per child & $1 per adult.

Water was clear and is a calm beach with very little to no waves. It is usually crowded since it has camping facilities. The sand is covered in tiny pine cones that get stuck on your feet.

Pros:
Clear warm water

Cons: broken glass on the beach and in the water.
Walkway to the beach is filthy

After finding my 3rd piece of large broken glass within 30 mins it was time to go.
This was not my first visit to this beach but it definitely will be my last.

The $5 charge to park should be going towards cleaning this beach up.

We visited this beach on a Saturday and it's not crowded at all!! The beach is plenty big enough for you to find your own little area. The locals are there and are very respectful! Bring an ice chest with drinks and your lunch and you are set to have a great afternoon. By the way, it's beautiful! Our teens had fun snorkeling and seeing fish, no reefs but to the far left there are some.
