Some friends, who had visited the place several times, had told us about its exceptional food and great service. Today we went there for the first time, and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The seafood was absolutely fresh, the ceviches were delicately seasoned yet extremely flavorful (the fish had a very subtle taste of the sea, as any great ceviche should taste); the fresh tuna tartar, marinated in soy sauce, orange juice and perhaps a bit of balsamic, was to die for, and its plating absolutely beautiful (see the photo); and their mojitos (which were on special today at $4), were full of fresh yerbabuena leaves and lemon (not a hint of them blended in a mortar, as usually happens) and not too sweet (as is generally the case, in which lots of plain sugar syrop is added)... the absolutely best everyone in our party of six had ever had! The place is moderately priced (actually, inexpensive, considering the great quality of the food) but even better than that, they have awesome lunch specials for under $10. Very highly recommended!!!! One of the the most wonderful places in the vibrant Calle Loíza neighborhood, in which some of the nicest and most innovative restaurants in town are now located.
