My 2 sisters & I stayed for a week at Windjammer. Perfect weather, accommodations & hospitality. It was off-season (early May) so the resort was very quiet which we enjoyed. Highlights were the sea-hammocks, beautiful views & water activities. Highly recommend.

Windjammer is simply amazing. Our villa was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations, and despite us being there on a timeshare it was new and well equipped. We were in villa 63 which is up on the hill and you can spot it in all the photos as it's alone, midway up the hill surrounded by greenery, which means no noisy neighbours! There are 4 villas in the building and bearing in mind the view and the private plunge pool, I think it was one of the nicest ones we saw.

The shuttle drivers deserve medals for all their hard work and superb driving skills, and they are on hand 24 hours a day to take you up and down the hill. We were made to feel so welcome by everyone there, and even though it was quiet, there was enough vibe and atmosphere to make it feel special. Even down to the towel guys, everyone who works there has a fabulous attitude, and the upkeep of the resort is immaculate. The water-sports activities are great, we did a banana ride, and were very tempted by the pedalos but ran out of time. But by far the nicest and most relaxing thing there is the water hammocks, but I'd suggest you wear water shoes to get out to them as the seabed can be quite rough. There's even a water trampoline if you're feeling energetic! If you don't fancy that, then just lounge on the sun loungers and take in the spectacular view.

We were actually in Saint Lucia to learn to dive, which we did at Dive St Lucia in Rodney Bay, I have written a separate review of them as they were brilliant. Also, we booked the day sail trip on the Friday through the tours desk and had the best day ever. Endless Summer run it but it's on a Windjammer catamaran, and takes in all the main sites near the Pitons. Can highly recommend it. We also went to the street party on the Friday night in Gros Islet, which was a bit crazy later on, but well worth the trip (and the $20 taxi ride).

We were not staying at the resort on an all inclusive basis, so we could choose where to eat. We ate out in Castries and Rodney Bay and had great food both times. A few nights we cooked for ourselves as the villa has all the utensils and equipment you need to cook even a full roast dinner should you desire! We did eat at Jammers and Papa Dons, which were both lovely. The cocktails too were delicious!

Overall, this place was fabulous, and although we were three sisters travelling without our husbands or kids, I would like to return with our kids, as there's loads to do for them too, and a great itinerary of events for adults and kids alike. For many reasons I can definitely say this is one of the nicest, friendliest, and most beautiful resorts I've ever stayed in, and I would definitely return. Thanks to all the staff (especially Darrell) for their attitude and warmth, you made it very special and are a credit to your organisation. I can't wait to return, and I never go back to the same place twice!

Room Tip: The one bed villas (sleeps up to 4 people) in the block by themselves are 61-64, and they are fantastic, with incredible views.

We have recently returned from a week at this gorgeous resort on St Lucia. Our stay here was at the end of a longer trip and we were ready to relax. As soon as we landed we knew we had made the right choice. A lovely warm welcome awaited us from the St Lucia Reps who directed us to our driver, Claudius, for the 90 minute transfer to Windjammer. Claudius made the journey interesting and most importantly comfortable at the roads are indeed very bendy and the island is very hilly. Having arrived safely we were greeted with cold towels,a rum punch and a huge smile! After checking in we were taken to our room on Hibiscus Lane. It was lovely - cool, nicely furnished, great size bathroom, and a walk in closet. The best part was of course the view. Unobstructed views of the sea and of course a blue sky.
As we hadn't booked a table for dinner on our first night we strolled down to Jammers to have a pre-dinner drink.
Again, we had a warm and genuine welcome from all the staff and soon forgot the all travelling and slid into island time. Our first meal at Jammers was excellent. The choice and quality of the food was outstanding and we were amazed that there only seemed to be one item on the menu outside the All Inclusive plan. Having thoroughly enjoyed dinner, we retreated to the bar for drinks and enjoyed the entertainment at the Bandstand.
Our days took on a familiar pattern of breakfast, beach, lunch, beach, and dinner and drinks.
Dragonfly was the breakfast venue, and you have a choice here of a la carte or buffet. Again, everything we sampled was excellent, but the icing on the cake is the fabulous staff.
Lunchtime for us was usually Jammers, and we loved just relaxing and watching the more energetic people taking part in the Watersports!
We took the shuttle up to Papa Don's and had two fabulous evening meals there. The Saltimbocca a la Romana, and shrimp risotto were delicious and the ice cream was sensational.
The Upper Deck was fantastic and we were able to sample the first night of the change of menu. The food was exceptional and we were still astounded that the majority of the menu was included in the AI plan! Our compliments to the head chef for the standard of cuisine we enjoyed in all the restaurants.
This is a very warm and welcoming resort and we felt from the minute we arrived that we had made the right choice. Everyone from the lady in the Towel Hut, the singing omelette lady, to the restaurant servers, the bar staff and the gardeners seemed to be very happy and wanted us to be happy. I'm sorry I cant remember all the names of the people we met, but Tresa, Ronnie, Treverne and Herbert made us some fabulous drinks! If I was managing this team I would be very proud indeed!
We really only wanted to relax for this part of our trip, but we did take the tour to the Distillery which was very interesting but if you suffer from motion sickness be prepared! Those bends take their toll in a bus!
We also took the shuttle up to the top of the resort to take in the fabulous views and then walked slowly back down. Wear trainers - its steep!
I had undertaken a lot of research before I chose Windjammer and it was as I hoped and expected it to be and more. We will definitely return to this fabulous place.
One tiny downside. There seemed to be a lot of errors on bills and no doubt the Receptionists do take a lot of flack for this. The only glum faces we saw were those of the two male receptionists. Come on gents!
If you are looking for a bland, branded hotel that is the same the world over, then book somewhere else, because Windjammer is the complete opposite. It's unique, welcoming, happy and very comfortable - a real little gem in paradise!

Love the atmosphere, the units and the people are the greatest. We love going back year after year and reconnecting with our friends/employees at the resort. The views from every window are outstanding and beautiful, full ocean view. We love our favorite taxi man Kerry, he was there to pick us up and sadly return us back to the airport. Whenever we wanted to go explore, he was more than willing.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Windjammer Landing. We booked through AAA and were really glad we chose the all-inclusive plan as prices otherwise would have been very expensive. It was my own fault for eating too much but that's what you do on vacation - easier to do when it's all paid for with an all-inclusive.

The restaurants are pretty good. I wouldn't call any of them Five Star. We were a bit disappointed in Papa Don's as my husband ordered chicken piccata but what he got was more of a spaghetti with red sauce and breaded chicken pieces. Not great.

Most other meals were very good. The Upper Deck and Embers were very good but interestingly, as a vegetarian, I was disappointed that their one verge dish (vegetarian lasagna) was not available any of the nights we were there. Fortunately, they offered a great substitute but it wasn't listed on the menu.

The Caribbean dinner buffet on Tues was delicious - crazy all you can eat and it was great! Desserts were always yummy! The breakfast buffet was fantastic and we looked forward to it every morning. Really sustained us for the day, too - excellent selection/variety of foods.

I wasn't thrilled with the cocktails but I'm not a drinker anyway so it didn't matter. No lemons ever for the water. The wait staff was great - super hospitable and accommodating. Only one evening were we made to feel uncomfortable with a waiter who was clearly mining for a big tip from us. His approach was unprofessional and left us with a bit of a bad taste; fortunately for him, the other wait staff and the rest of the staff made up for his lack of discretion.

I had a fantastic pedicure at the Spa. The Spa is beautiful and serene. If you go, for any service, ask for Marvelin. She's out of this world. Really skilled, takes her time, and extremely friendly; loved her! You won't be disappointed!

Loved our room and its location. We were in 322B. Perfect location in terms of getting to the beach, pools, and restaurants and we still had a great view. The property, perhaps the island, isn't really wheelchair or mobility-friendly as it's replete with steep hills and curvy, windy roads. Fortunately, the resort offers shuttles but if you can get a room closer to the hub, that's ideal.

The beach is clean and well cared for as is the hut where all the water activities take place. That was really how we came to choose all-inclusive; we wanted to be able to enjoy all of the water sorts without being nickel and dined....and we did. It was great not having to carry around cash or cards everywhere.

WJL is a fun place to meet new people from all over, partake of resort activities, or quietly read on the beach. One of my favorite things there are the hammocks in the water. I enjoyed those almost more than anything.

One "bummer" of our trip was that on our last night, we had left some of our belongings on our lounge chairs and went off to enjoy other activities. When we got back to our chairs, a few of our personal belongings were gone. Trying to put the best construction on the whole affair and assume that someone was trying to clean up the lounge chairs, it's still frustrating that we're out 2 pair of flip flops and my husband's brand new swim shirt. We reported it to security but.....nothing.

St. Lucians are very welcoming, very proud of their island, and happy to share their island with tourists. Enjoy the things the island has to offer.
