Absolutely wounderful bird tour of both the French and Dutch side of St. Martin. Visited several birding sites, and the tour guide provided historical information, and chatted about birds while driving to different locations. Tour guide was very knowledgable about the native and migratory birds, and very friendly. Ilja was lovely and treated us like family - brought us to her home to check out her feeders and stop for a snack of banana bread and homemade iced tea and coffee. They offer binoculars if you didn't bring your own, and provide you with a little note book and pen so that you can keep note of all the birds you saw on your voyage. Ilja coordinated the time with our ship's arrival into port, and with peak birding hour. Would recommend Seagrape Tour to anyone visiting St. Martin either by cruise or staying at a hotel.

We had an amazing time on the bird tour! It was a nice break from the commercial, big island tours. Our guide was great - very knowledgeable, and she shared stories about the island's history. The recent hurricanes have had a tremendous impact on every aspect of island life, and it was eye-opening hearing about and seeing the aftermath. We still trekked all over the island, had a refreshing coffee and tea break, and saw tons of species of birds there (and other creatures). I would absolutely do one of these tours again!

David and Ilja were super nice and gave us a lot of very helpful information before we even talked about going on a tour with them! Then David led us on a sea turtle search in some of the most beautiful parts of the island, a trip that was so comfortable, informative and fun that it made us entirely forget our previous, unhappy, experiences with snorkling. We even found our turtles!

Thanks David! And thanks so much Ilja for all of your help!

PS Special shout out for the banana bread, iced coffee and infusion. Fantastic!

Ow wonderful, thank you! Yes, you had a very specific request to see sea turtles while snorkeling. Now normally I advise people to book a boat snorkel trip visiting uninhabited island and nature reserve Tintamarre, but since hurricane Irma 6 months ago the turtles have dispersed to deeper or other areas. So happy you and David found one in a shallow bay, while snorkeling off a beach. Wishing you all the best. Hope to meet you one day too on our normal tours :) -Ilja
