My family of 4 (adults 42 & 45/kids 9 & 10) traveled to Grand Cayman for 9 nights over our Spring Break in March. Our last several spring break trips have been to Beaches Turks & Caicos or Cabo San Lucas amongst many others without the kids.
I'll start with the property..... we really enjoyed it! The only negative thing I can say is that our room 109 was dated. Everything was clean and in working order, just dated. But we spent most of our time at the beach, pool or exploring the island. The 2 bed/ 2 bath unit was spacious and it was great to have a full size refrigerator with ice maker and washer/dryer in the room. We also stocked up at the local grocery store and had most breakfast in the room. The TV had plenty of channels for late night entertainment and watching the NCAA games. The first floor location of the room was perfect for going to the pool or beach or running back to grab a cocktail or use the bathroom. We were close enough to the beach to have an ocean view from this room. They changed our towels everyday and bedding every 3rd day. Margaritaville had live music in the lobby a couple of nights, so it was fun to grab a cocktail at the lobby bar and chill out.

The beach in front of Sunset Cove is great! Like others have said, it wasn't crowded, you could always find chairs to put your stuff on. The water was warm and mostly clear. A few short steps and your on the main part of 7 mile Beach. We walked up to the Marriott a couple of times, once for dinner and once to cut through to Peppers across the street. It's a short easy walk and we walked back along the beach after dinner when the sun went down. Totally safe. We were glad we didn't stay at the crowded Marriott, the beach was packed with chairs and people in everyone of them. 7 mile is a pretty beach but it's not Grace Bay Turks & Caicos, I only say this because our goal is to find something comparable Grace Bay without going to the same place over and over.

The pool was also great! We enjoyed afternoons in the pool and the swimup bar was a plus. Definatly, a big pool for Grand Cayman standards and the water was perfect temperature. The adults and kids both enjoyed the beach, pool and hottub immensely!

We rented a car with AVIS and went to several snorkel spots just about everyday. Drove to dinner when it was too far to walk and visited the Turtle Farm. Picking and dropping the car at the airport was a breeze!

I would recommend Sunset Cove to anyone. We really enjoyed our stay. I only give 4 stars because the room could use a little updating but otherwise their aren't any negatives. As I understand, the rooms are individually owned so it's the luck of the draw on whether or not you have more modern furnishings/finishes. But don't let that deter you. The space in the room, location and pool/beach area are well worth going!

Room Tip: I typically don't like 1st floor rooms but it was great to be on the first floor at Sunset Cove for beach and pool access!

We rented a condo through Cayman Condos. They were professional and easy to work with. Condo 213 was pool front, with a peek of the ocean from the balcony. It was the most well-equipped vacation rental we have stayed in.

The condos offer good sized condos with balconies. We stayed in #218, which overlooked the pool and you could also see the ocean. The pool is sectional but connected, so adds fun for the families (we were two couples). The bar in the pool is fun. We spent most of our time at the beach, which has it's own barrier and 'ocean' that has been cleared away of the coral rocks which are prevalent in that area. We went snorkeling - good but not great, as the coral has taken a beating with all the cruise ship traffic. There is an equipment shop in the strip mall next door. We walked to all of our evening restaurants, many selections up and down the main street.
The grocery store is within walking distance, so we stocked up on breakfast and lunch supplies. Food and drink is expensive in the Caymans, no matter where you stay. We took advantage of the duty-free store before we arrived for our adult beverages. We also walked to George Town.
Margaritaville shares the premises, so you have an opportunity to go to their bar, and we used them to call a taxi when we were departing. We used the bus to go to the top of SMB, worked just fine.

We've been to the same condo twice so far. If you love perfect weather and oddles of snorkeling right off the beach or diving book your trip! Restaurants and grocery all nearby. Nothing like it anywhere in the Caribbean! Do the bioluminescent tour!

I own a motel on the west coast of Florida and have been in the hospitality business since 1999. This was an awesome stay at Sunset Cove. Debbie in office totally awesome, very helpful, the bartenders from Scotland very helpful & friendly both at Sunset Cove & Margaritaville, Condo on the beach, close to seven mile beach outstanding , lots of restaurants in walking distance.
.Only complaint cigarette & cigar smoke needs to be banned, not good for those of us with allergies . Will definitely book again.
