We stayed at Casa Cassini for two weeks and absolutely enjoyed the villa and grounds.
The villa’s interior is very spacious, open living and the tropical roof construction allows for a very good air flow. And you can hear the sound of the waves! It is so relaxing.
The large kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed being able to prepare our own meals, when we did not feel like eating out.
The pool and sundeck are simply amazing! Overlooking the old Bacolet coconut plantation you can see the ocean and bay. My husband and I went for our morning run/walk on the beach almost every day. The beach is 2 minutes walking distance from the villa. It usually has some waves. On some mornings we saw surfers and were told that the beach is known among surfers for catching some good waves.
The place feels very private and is located in a residential area outside of Scarborough. It offers the best of both worlds, as we felt embedded in nature and were still close to the island’s capital. There are only a few restaurants within a 15 minute walking distance. We had a rental car during our stay and would definitely recommend renting a car to explore Tobago. The location is very good. Scarborough is 5-10 minutes by car. The drive to the busier Crown Point area and Pigeon Point is about 20-25 minutes. If you want to explore the more remote areas in the Northeast it is about 45 minutes to an hour by car and the drive along the coastal route is very scenic.
We enjoyed our stay and will be back!
