It is off the beaten track but should be a destination when visiting STX. The food is just downright delicious and the service is always great. Do I choose one the daily specials or a menu item? Always a difficult decision but the result is always the same - great food! I had the crabcake appetizer yesterday for the first time (I've tried just about all of the menu items) and it exceeded my expectation. Nice crisp outer layer and the crab was plentiful. It was served over a bed of lettuce, corn and a sauce that complimented the crabcake. My husband had the sandwich, roast beef au jus with fries and I must say, the fries rate as well as the fries served at the Christiansted Brew Pub (I don't know why it's hard to find good french fries on STX). The decor is "hole in the wall" but that too is part of the experience. Frankly, the food is the star here and if you enjoy good food, this is your place. I don't give an excellent rating unless it is deserved. Oh, and thank you Chris for understanding the nuance of the dark and tonic - cheers!
