The hotel was splendid, the staff was great. Lavardo was a treat. We had an esquisite time and plan to return this summer with our children. Prince Harry visited while we were there so it was extra special. Breakfast and Dinner at The Aqua was nice also. We had a wonderful time.

The hotel is in a great location you can walk to everything. Beware of these vacation clubs offers Apex international especially. They seek you out on the street. Everything is close by. Fish Fry and other upscale resturants and clubs.

Room Tip: harbour view rooms are great you'll get a gret view of the beach.

When Air Canada landed 3 hours late in Nassau, we missed our connection to one of the out-islands. We called about 8 hotels that we know, or know of; the Hilton was the only hotel we could find at 5PM on December 27 that could offer a room. Not that we cared about a view that we would not see, we did expect the room to be reasonably impressive, at the $600 plus price. While the room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable, the room was small and had an awkward layout. We found the decor to be minimalist.

We had cocktails on the ground floor bar terrace and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The bar service was very slow and the restaurant service was not much better.

The hotel location is certainly prime, if you want to be in the middle of Nassau. The grounds are great for taking a stroll and for watching the cruise ships negotiate into and out of the adjacent terminal docks.

My one day stay at the Hilton this February was pleasant enough. This old hotel is ideally located for people on a tight schedule who want to access the sites of downtown Nassau quickly, e.g. the Straw Market. My room had a city view. It was clean and the queen sized bed was comfortable. The only drawback was that the room had a slightly musty smell. Hotel must make sure the not so popular rooms are aired before assigning them to guests. My only other concern is the price of food in the hotel restaurant. It is very expensive. Comparable meals in Canada and the U.S. cost half as much. Staff at this hotel are superb -- very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Enjoyed the private beach -- perfect for an overnighter; sand and surf was right there. Getting a cab to the airport the following morning was a breeze. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: For budget minded people staying just a night or two, the rooms with a city view can be obtained at...

Was very impressed by the courteous staff & Attention to Details. For example:
1. Reservations - Ms. Anna Clark emailed prior to our arrival regarding the coordination of a complimentary upgrade.
2. Concierge - Mr. Tristan Moss gave us helpful sightseeing tips & reserved fantastic restaurants for us. Thanks to Tristan, we never had a bad meal.
3. Beach & Pool - Mr. Jamaal Clark introduced himself & always checked-up on us when he saw us by the beach/pool. He even remembered our room #.
4. Check-in - Patricia & Keisha very helpful as it was our 1st time & they made check-in/out easy.
5. Maid Service - such as Janet & others greeted us with a smile everyday in the hallway.
6. Baby Sitting - Hired hotel sitter by the name of Susan who played with our daughter & even gave her a tour of the hotel to keep her entertained while we had dinner to ourselves. We hired her again since we trusted & liked her so much.
7. Executive Lounge staff was also friendly & attentive.
8. Manager Cockail hour (which we typically don't attend) was fun as each Mgr greeted us & asked about our visit. Got acquainted with other couples & randomly interacted with them during our stay. Human Resource Mgr. even took the time to write down jewlery stores worth visiting.

Hotel drink prices were not always the same price for the exact same cocktail & wish they would offer complimentary wi-fi throughout the hotel.
Beach is narrow but was pleasantly surprised to see that it was raked daily to keep it clean.
Will be back again as the welcoming staff made us comfortable, safe & trouble-free.

Room Tip: Will definitely stay again if we can obtain a suite due to family size as the standard rooms that we...
