We just got back from a near perfect vacation & wedding at the Royal Bahamian. The only reason it was near perfect was that we had two days of wind that closed the beach and water sports, but that had nothing to do with Sandals. We stayed in the Honeymoon Villas with two butlers, Eugene & Chiquita, who were amazing. Our room was beautiful, the resort is gorgeous and the food was great. We only had one so-so meal, otherwise we had amazing food. Our butlers did little things each night in our room and were attentive and catered to our every wish. We also got married there and it was perfect. It was just what we wanted. I can't imagine how anyone could leave a bad review of this resort. We had a great week and would absolutely go back.

We just returned from 10 days of paradise on earth! This year the staff were incredibly solicitous to every need and question that we had.(They were last year as well but appeared a bit strained from the contract negotiations that were occurring) We stayed in the Windsor building, concierge suite, pool side. The ocean view was incredible. The resort and rooms are very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The concierge service is wonderful. All of our requests were addressed efficiently. We felt pampered and valued as customers. A word of caution, if you like peace and quiet, then the other side of the building is probably better for you. There were a lot of parties and bands on the pool side. We spent many days on the island. It's wonderful for a more rustic, quiet, and private experience. If you have not been to their private island lately, it's worth the trip! They've been improving the experience with many new walkways and covered decks.
The exercise room in the Manor building is first class with an excellent view of the ocean.
We were able to book into all of the dining rooms. We did so immediately upon arrival to ensure that we could be included. Bring some fancy clothes to enjoy formal dining in the Baccarat and Crystal rooms. They are truly decadent dining experiences. Kermit our server at Kimono's had us in stitches most of the evening. The food in every restaurant was delicious, abundant and fresh. I certainly got my fill of seafood, prime rib and fresh fruit!
We witnessed several beautiful weddings while at the resort, and the staff attended to every detail.
Caution! The adventure tours agency attached to the resort (but not a part of Sandals) left us wanting. The tour arranger was rude to the customers and blamed her mistakes on them! We booked in for deep sea fishing and the experience itself was great. A trip to Red lane spa to a manicure/pedicure was a special treat for me and a reasonable one at $80.
We felt very safe leaving the resort and walked to the Crystal palace casino in the evening. If you're a jewelery collector, then a trip downtown is in order. We saved on cab fare an took the #10 bus to an from shopping for a buck.
The Bahamian people are joyous and gentle souls and I really enjoyed coming back. I'll be saving for another trip here because its first class!

Great layout. The island is great. Not good value for money.
The public toilets were always blocked, at times the food was great and at times very poor. Always saw live bugs in the salads at the salad bar. Just too much smoking going on here. Staff say they have a smoking policy but they get many complaints.
We liked our rooms.
Cricketers Pub is the only venue in the world modled around the great sport of cricket, but they only show North Amercan sports - what is this all about. Surely they can do better.
Generally the entertainment was not bad. Far to Americanised.
This resort seems to be going through some management issues and need to get their act together.
We will not return

we just returned from our amazing honeymoon! This resort oozes romance. I HIGHLY recommend it for a honeymoon spot. everything is in 2s and set up for romance (2 chairs around a firepit for nighttime romancing, hammocks for 2, candlelit dinners, etc etc etc). every place we ate at (5 of the 7 restaurants) was DELISH. the 2 we couldnt eat at was only because they needed reservations and we waited too long - so be sure to make your reservations as soon as you get there!

the 2 pools were gorgeous and there are little hot tubs nestled away here and there...2 swim up bars (im not a pool person but if you are this is the place to be). the ocean is beautiful but they dont let you go out too far because boats come in and out taking people to sandals private island and snorkeling/diving etc. the beach looks rather small, but once you get closer you realise its not that bad at all! however, im not sure they could accomodate a beach ceremony because of the size and the chairs/watersports that are there (sailing, jetskiis, waterbikes, kayaks - all included except jetskiis).

the service was top notch!!!!!!!!!!! bahamians in general are just a friendly people...but at the resort, everyone says hello and wishes you a good day. service at the restaurants is fast and super friendly (we only had to wait for dinner once and lunch once). everyone is very helpful.

we loved sandals so much we are already looking into visiting another sandals property for our 1 year anniversary!

My husband and I and another couple recently stayed at the Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. Our trip was great - so much more even than I expected. The resort was a fantastic place to stay. It was beautiful and romantic and exactly what we wanted. Even more than that though, the people, the service and the food were absolutely unbelievable. We dined at every available place on the resort (except for Gordan's on the Pier - we simply ran out of time) and we never once experienced a less than FANTASTIC meal. The breakfast buffets were great including everything you could ever want for breakfast and more. The lunches were fast and delicious and the dinners were great. The service that we recieved was outstanding. They were very friendly, not to mention entertaining servers that went out of their way to reccomend dishes and entertain you throughout your meal. We left each meal raving about how good the food was only for each to be better than the last. The rooms were beautiful and well kept and cleaned. The bar services were great. The only place we found a little lacking in the service was the Cricketer. It wasn't that it was bad service, just a little lacking. The pools/swim up bars were great. The pools could have been kept a little warmer but you got used to them. The island (Cay) that you have access was absolutely breathtaking - definately relaxing and romantic.
To sum it up, I would reccomend this resort to all couples and say you must try it out. There really is not one bad thing I can say about our holiday and would just like to compliment the Sandals Resort on their friendly, hard-working staff!!!!!!
