We went to Sandals in the Bahamas for four nights. Get the Butler suite and get all the perks that go with it. We had a great time from
when we arrived to the time we left. We were picked up in a Rolls Royce, had privite check in, butler service. The food was great, our room was very clean at all times, the bar was stocked always, Stay in the Winsor suites. It was great, we will go back for sure.

The Red lane Spa was not so great. We pre booked all our massages before we arrived. There are two there, the main spa, and the day spa. My first massage was great at the main spa, very good. Two days later we both went to the main spa, we arrived 30 min early so we could shower and steam. we had suntan lotin all over us from being at the pool. We waited in the lobby while we were checked in, we were
then told that we had to go to the day spa for our massages. I protested right away and was told "its to late to change" I told the girl that we needed to shower, we were told "you will have time to shower over there" we arrived and never got to the shower, we were told "if you want to shower, it will come out of your time" Now, we had paid 240.00 for this 50 min of time. We went on to get or massages. We spent the time hearing all the traffic on the main road in a hot room. It was not worth what we paid. We were told by the manager "I'm sorry". Beware. you have been warned. This was the only
bad spot on our vacation. Sandals was great, Red lane spa was a rip off.

In 1996, my husband and I went to Sandals Royal Bahamian for our honeymoon. We got a free upgrade. We were so excited. In 2006, we decided to go back for our 10 year anniversary. We got another upgrade for a couple of hundred dollars, which was still a pretty good savings from regular price. The resort was new in 1996. We loved it. That is when we became addicted to "Sandals."

When we were there in 1996, the offshore island was not developed yet. We used to Kayak over there in the afternoons. Now there is a restaurant and pool to enjoy. The resort has also added some really nice restaurants and more buildings since our last trip. We really enjoy eating good food anytime we want.

The entertainment 10 years ago was a lot better than what we had on our return visit. That was our only complaint.

We love the customer service that we receive at Sandals Resorts. We like that everything is included. We don't have to carry any extra cash around. We recommend Sandals resorts to everyone we know.

Sandals Royal Bahamian is a great resort. We visited the resort April 16th-April22nd for our honeymoon and we would definitely return. The resort claims it is 5-star. I have never stayed at a 5-start resort, but we visited the Atlantis during our stay, and if the Royal Bahamian is 5-stars, the Atlantis is 6-stars. The Royal Bahamian has great restaurants, both fancy and casual, a great pool area (Windsor is only pool that is heated, Manor was empty most of the time, too cold), average beach (Island beach is much nicer and recommend visiting), resort area was beautiful (very tropical), and the rooms were very nice (again not 5 stars but very nice). Do not stay at this resort if you want a great ocean view, but you should know this by looking at the resort's map. We stayed in the Manor building, 4th level, Regency room. We ate at Baccarat (the best restaurant, 5-star level), Crystal Room (also very nice), Casanova (great menu), Kimono's (fun atmosphere), and the Royal Cafe (good homestyle food like nacho's and hamburgers). I would recommend this resort to those people looking to relax, have some drinks, enjoy the wonderful grounds, and eat great food. Do not stay here if you are looking for a 5-start resort like the Ritz Carlton. Do not expect great, fast service because the staff moves at their own pace, and they will wait on you when they are good and ready. But, you should visit this place without a watch anyway's. When you are down there, you are on Bahamian time.
Those reviews you read where people are disappointed were probably expecting a 5-star room, service, and food. The Royal Bahamian is 4-star but well worth the money.

We stayed here for six nights for our honeymoon, and we had a great time. Yes, it's expensive, but if you take advantage of the drinks and food, and the offshore island, it is surely worth it.
We thought the food was generally so-so, but we loved the Crystal Room and Baccarat. We had no problem making reservations when we got there, so don't worry about that.
Spices was a good place to eat, too. Stay away from Kimonos or Casanovas--terrible food!!
In general, people were nice, but some of the bartenders were short and rude with us. The concierges were beyond accomodating.
The room was fine- we were in the Manor building and we had no problem with people cleaning our rooms or keeping the fridge stocked.
The one thing I advise- get out to the island or pool early because it was always hard to find two chairs next to each other! People reserve their spots and never come back! ANd also wear sunscreen- you get more sun than you think!
Also, rent scooters in Cable Beach- it was a fun, exhilarating experience and a great way to see the rest of the island.
We loved it and would love to do something similar in the future.

This is a couples only all inclusive resort. This beautiful resort is located right on Cable Beach only a few miles from down town Nassau. There are some eleven resturants at this property alone. They have two complete spa's (those are at an additional cost) available on site. Arrangements can also be made to enjoy messages, individual or couples, on their pier or the beach front. There are two huge swim-up bar pools at the beach, plus a few more private pools and Jacuzzi's in the garden areas of the resort. The resort also shares an off-shore island about a half mile across from the main resort. It has a resturant/grill for day use and more eligant dinning (two seatings per night) for the evening. There is also a pool with a swim-up bar, a jacuzzi and two beautiful beaches. One on either side of the pool and resturant area. Messages and spa treatments are also available each day at a secluded area at one end of the island, but not far from the swim-up pool bar.

We found alll of the management and staff members to be very frendly and helpful. We will return soon to this resort.
