I visited the island with my 13 year old boy-girl twins. We all enjoyed the day and thought it was a nice excursion.

The boat ride to the island is in a good, sturdy boat that handled the waters well even though it was a windy day. The trip is about 30 minutes and you pass some nice mansions and yachts. As you arrive at the island it seems a little spartan and rocky. But when you get to the other side (a 2 minute walk) you find a beautiful beach and turquoise water. The water is calmer on that side too, but it was still a little rough on our day to kayak.

If you are an avid snorkeler you will not be impressed by the snorkeling. It is about 10-20 minutes to see everything and the visibility is not great. That said, we saw some angel fish and parrot fish and some nice coral formations. My twins were new to snorkeling and enjoyed it, but I have been on far better trips for that.

The lunch served was pretty good. Hot dogs and BBQ chicken. There is a masseuse on site but book early as she is in demand. The massage prices are really good.

The pig feeding was chaotic but a lot of fun. There are 3 large pigs and they are happy to interact with everyone, though they weren’t dying to swim. Still my kids got some nice time with them in the water and it was definitely something different.

There are other pig adventures in the Bahamas, and the “real” swimming with pigs is on Great Exuma. But if you are in Nassau and don’t want to make the long trip to Exuma this was a decent way to have the experience.

Happy kids = happy dad.
