We did not stay overnight at this resort, however, my husband and I did book this Shore Excursion as a day trip and part of our Carnival Cruise that we just took this past weekend. We ended up being the only people who booked this excursion from our cruise, so we had a PRIVATE TOUR just to ourselves, it was great! This resort was absolutely amazing from start to finish. To begin, we had a great tour guide by the name of Henry pick us up from the port in which we arrived in the Bahamas. He gave us a GREAT tour of the buildings/areas from the port to the resort and back. This resort was so relaxing, so calming, away from the cruise ship, people and noise and it was the perfect place to be with my husband! We got a tour of the resort, relaxed by the pools (yes there is multiple), had full access to the beach area (which we utilized as well), had full access to the bar (bartender Justin was great! - he knows how to make great drinks!), had a great lunch (they have amazing food), and met some great people along the way. Before we left to go back to the cruise ship, we got to tour one of the rooms and learned more about what the resort has to offer. Henry (our tour guide) picked us back up and gave us more history on the Bahamas and the buildings/areas we passed this time as well. He even took us to see caves (and yes, we all went IN the cave too!), took our picture near it, and even brought us to the best spot to have Conch salad (which was absolutely delicious! - I recommend it for sure). I wish we knew about this resort before we booked our cruise because this was the best part of our trip. I would definitely recommend staying here. It is so calm and peaceful, we will definitely be back to stay here for sure.

My family and I spent the weekend at the resort this month. It's a nice hotel if you just want to relax and want no interruption from the outside world. There is a restaurant/ bar on premises that caters to good eats. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a coffee maker and refrigerator in the rooms. The rooms are really nice and big. The resort is quiet and laid back. The drawbacks for me are as follows: the water takes a while to heat up in the bathroom, the pool needs to be clean daily (bugs were floating in the water), water from the shower head run over on the floor in the bathroom, there is no microwave, and dead little hugs were found on the bed.

The resort needs more upgrading and housekeeping dept needs more staffing to accommodate the situation that we occurred that the resort. But other than that, i would give it a 7 out of 10.

We went to the Marley Resort yesterday evening during a hefty rain shower and so outdoor beachside tales were not available, would have been a super place to sit and enjoy sunset at the sea. So we sat in the bar part, which is perfect if you like to watch athletics on TV. For quieter evenings choose the restaurant and please not the expression "quieter", as it seems that since the TV series death in paradise loud music is a must when eating out. Food was very good, spicey chicken breasts and pasta alfredo, big portions, very good dessert, coffee not up to par. However it is early days, the setting is lovely, the idea is good, there is also a spa part where you can be pampered, so all in all, we will certainly be back!

We were staying in a condo nearby and the Marley was recommended. We had a delicious, well priced meal with a view of the sunset while the kids played in the pool. The grounds are beautiful and there's a great beach too!

The Marley Resort & Spa is wonderful if you're looking for a quiet, unique hotel. The view of the ocean is absolutely perfect and the pool area is so beautiful. We went to the pool area every day, and I think there was only one instance where other people were out there as well. The garden and building itself is gorgeous as well.

Good location because it was right on the ocean. It was easy to get on the jitney bus. There was a liquor store, a grocery store, and a Wendy's right across the street.

Service is slow (island living, ya know?). The water sucks -- very salty. Brushing your teeth is kind of gross. Sometimes the water doesn't even work. Internet is spotty. Spa wasn't open yet and neither was the hot tub when I was there, which was kind of a bummer. The manager was very apologetic about the problems.

If you are looking to relax, take it slow, and run into very few other guests, I couldn't recommend this any more. Then again, that is what I was looking for. A private resort feel for this price is awesome. That being said, don't expect everything to be perfect. It is still a smaller hotel with some brushing up to do before it catches up to the service of big-name, corporate, cookie cutter resorts.
