Nice atmosphere cosy and clean we sat in lounge. Food good and not too badly priced. Quite a broad menu including set menu offers. I thought £3 plus for the after dinner coffee expensive, and would have liked more options under £10 for a quick lunch.

4 of us had lunch here on a Sunday and everything was fantastic.

2 of the group had the Sunday lunch (beef) and the other 2 went for the salt baked sea-bass (recommended)

2 rounds of drinks and bread / garlic bread to start came to £30 a head which we thought was reasonable.

Service fairly amateurish. Ordered paella at £30 odd pounds. Not a good choice. Lacked authenticity and FAR too salty. Generally an upmarket caff with pretentious aspirations. Prices are a bit over the top.
Not impressed.

This hotel is wonderful. The service is great with a friendly approach and positive attitude.
The rooms are very well presented. Clean bright and modern. I don’t know how they have done it, but within the decor the new owners have managed to incorporate an old England twist.
The bed was very comfortable no lumps or bumps. The sheets were pristine white with no creases in them. The bathroom towels were white and soft. The complimentary bathroom products were of a good quality. The bathroom was absolutely spotless
The lighting in the room was good and there were plenty of lamps for you to create your own ambiance.
There is plenty of tea and coffee for you.
The desk from which you can work on is large and there are chairs for you to use .
There is ample space around the bed area.
There was no noise thus ensuring a good nights sleep. The food was exceptional, great quality and plenty of it. Served the way you like it and in a timely manner.

I would stay here again.

I spent a day here, enjoying morning coffee, lunch, and tea and cake in the afternoon. The staff were very welcoming, offering friendly, prompt service, and we never felt that we were under pressure to order, or to move on. We sat in the bar at the front which had a wood fire making the room feel cosy and comfortable, as well as making it smell gorgeous. I also appreciated how clean the place is. They have throws patterned with white over their benches and they look brand new. How do they do that?!

All sorts of people came into the bar during the day; local couples and friends, a group of mamals on their Saturday cycle ride, and young families. The atmosphere was lovely and friendly.

Room Tip: We were day visitors, so cannot comment on the hotel
