Perfectly situated in a quiet location, surrounded by mountains, little stream, sheep, horses and other wildlife. It's a fairy-tale place. Easy access to Snowdon Mountain, not far away from the beach, there's a variety of steam train adventures and other activities to do, spoilt for choice, really. One day we went to Snowdon Mountain (husband climbed it, mother and children went up by train - check out the website for early bird bookings). another day we drove to the beaches on the northern coast, to see the lighthouses - fantastic scenery! Both the mountains and the coast are a photographer's paradise. There are plenty of places to eat out in the nearby village and also in Betwys-y-Coed, which is only a few minutes' drive.
When we arrived there was a problem with the central heating, but the owner made everything possible to sort it out, giving us extra electric heaters for the night and managing to find a plumber to fix it the following morning (it's not easy to find someone on Sunday and the chap who came round was most helpful and friendly). So the problem was hardly noticed.
We'd forgotten to bring suitable shoes for our youngest daughter but we found a huge variety of outdoor shops in Betwys. Good internet connection and TV, so although the cottage is in a quiet and secluded corner, it is not isolated from the rest of the world (essential when you travel with teenagers!).
Home away from home: we were very comfortable, the cottage is very beautifully decorated and very well equipped, we could even wash and dry our muddy clothes after a long walk on a rainy day. On arrival we found the essentials in the fridge (eggs, milk, OJ, etc) and there was even a bottle of red wine! The whole family had a great time.

We stayed at this cottage over the Easter weekend. It is in a beautiful, peaceful setting and great location for walking in Snowdonia. The cottage had everything we needed and is finished to a very high quality. The owners were very helpful during and after the booking process. I can't recommend this place enough!

We stayed in this beautiful cottage over Christmas we were actually celebrating our honeymoon as well. The place is faultless it really is. It was immaculately clean and it was lovely you arrive to find bread milk eggs and orange juice as well as a Christmas card and bottle of wine. The kitchen was really well equipped we cooked there every day including full Christmas dinner with no trouble at all. The bedrooms are big and the bed so comfortable.
The location was perfect we were able to walk straight out of the cottage and explore the local area and lots of attractions are only a short drive away.
We had a lot of rain while we were there but with the right clothing we were still able to enjoy.
Thank you so much to Bernard for our perfect honeymoon and Christmas. Dolmurgoch really is perfect.
Located up a short track beyond the Pont-Y-Pant train station. Detached, with sheep and birds for company. Trains trundle past during daytime. Plenty of parking space on the grounds. Beautifully fitted kitchen, quality furniture, powerful central heating, good wifi. Good location for seeing the area. Off-peak tariff was very fair. We would recommend.

We loved our stay in Dolmurdoch; 8 nights last week.
The son's owner welcomed us very nicely. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and charming. Furniture, linen and decoration are of good quality, tasteful, clean and in perfect condition, which is not that often in a rented place. We really appreciated that. Very homey.
Further the location is perfect to start short or long walks from the cottage, yet 10mn drive to Betws y Coed for pubs and shopping, and even closer to the train (5mn walking distance!) leading to the seaside.
Lastly I do recommend diner at the Ty Gwyn Hotel, 5mn drive from the cottage. Fantastic cuisine and lovely staff.
In fact this cottage has it all!
