I reserved a room here for 3nights in February 2019, arrived to check-in and had no problems checking in. However, after checking in I soon realized a made a BIG mistake! We made our way to the assigned room and immediately had problems! The key cards to unlock the door worked but the door was stuck and I had to ram it with my shoulder to get it opened. Upon walking in we were overtook with this raunchy smell, there were places in the carpet that were all torn up and the floors and bathroom were just not clean at all! I'm travelling with small children that would be playing on the floor so I immediately decided to go ask for another room. I've stayed in Quality Inn many times and never encountered such horrible conditions so I figured it was probably just this one room. I made my way to the office and explained the situation to the staff. There was a woman wearing a name tag that said room inspector standing by and she told the gentleman assisting me that room 111 should be nicer. Well, since shes a "room inspector" she would know...right? WRONG!!! I made my way to the new room and was able to open the door this time without dislocating my shoulder. We walked in and the room smelled like someone may have just cleaned with some type of cleaner. The carpet was dingy but in better shape than the last room. The floors still could have been vacuumed ALOT better as there was junk all behind the beds and specks of dirt throughout the room. As I am inspecting the room my 20month old daughter walks by and I see something in her hand, I chase her down because of course she runs. I pry her hand open to find an unmarked capsule with white powder inside!!! She found it on the floor of a room that was supposed to have been cleaned and approved by the "room inspector"! At this point my family's safety is at risk here so we immediately left the room. We meet the "room inspector" just outside our door and she asked was this room better for you? I told her what happened and she said, oh that must have fell off the housekeeping cart, the houskeepers take medication. I went to the office and complained, they tried to give me another room and at this point after two nasty rooms I'm done with this place. I wanted to talk to a manager but no one was available. I checked out and got my money back after about a week. I emailed corporate to tell them how serious this situation could have ended up and not a word back to me! I am completely disappointed in the lack of "quality" in Quality Inn and will not be staying at another one! My daughter could have swallowed that pill and who knows what it was, it could have been fatal!
