I usually love Hampton Inns because the rooms are so well insulated, but not in this case. I could hear every noise in the room next door and the hallway. Entire conversations -- as clear as if they were in my room. The room was nice, everything was clean, the staff was great as usual. But the noise factor was significant.

I called with an already instilled answer of “No”, to a question that is 100% of my experiences, always that. So when I asked if a early check in was available any at all, the excellent gentleman by the name of Ian at the front desk was happy to tell me “Yes”! Normally any hotel staff seem burdened by your initial call then asking them to do something is way to much work for them. Not Ian, he was overly happy, eager and attentive to go above and beyond! His immediate response told me that he will help anyone, meaning he didn’t have to look at my higher level background or Hilton hotel statistics to base his decision on me. That’s rare to come by today. Hotel was amazing but a company is initially distinguished by the employees a customer meets first. So Ian needs to be recognized for him just being himself, resulting in a great employee meaning happy customer.
Bugs in the room and a staff that could care less if you were there. Nothing like paying over $200 to feel like your staying in a $100 room. Hilton is known for consistency and I stay in one EVERY SINGLE week. This hotel is not representative of the chain.

Overall stay was uncomfortable and inhospitable. The staff lacked in their attentiveness and interaction. Air conditioner was out in Lobby and was told this had been going on for several days. Very uncomfortable trying to eat in the extreme heat.

Our stay was decent. The hotel was clean. I had a couple of problems. Our television didn't work in our first room so after the front desk worker was unable to get it to work, she moved us to a different room. We were originally in a suite and the new room was not a suite. A $30 adjustment was made in the room costs, but I also feel we should have gotten a discount for the inconvenience of having to change rooms. The day after we arrived we left our room, locked it, only to come back and the door was ajar. I was very nervous because my work laptop was there. Thankfully, everything was intact, but this situation could have turned out really bad. I assume that housekeeping failed to secure the door. When we checked out Monday, I was unable to secure the door. Other than that, the stay was a good one. I can always appreciate a clean hotel.
