We booked The Shady Oak inn for a weekend break. My partner & i arrived, enjoyed a lovely wine & pint before being shown to our room. The room was lovely, clean, amazing view of the countryside & had tea & coffee making facilities too! Amazing shower & fluffy towels, the bed was extremely comfortable, my partner who doesn't sleep much had the best 14 hour sleep he'd had in years! So relaxed. Leon and Paul made us feel welcome & we enjoyed the best Burger and chips. Great prices, the food was lovely & the whole place has a nice relaxing atmosphere.
I highly recommend you try The Shady Oak inn. Its a gem of a place. We left feeling really relaxed & we can not wait to come back again soon.
Thank you for looking after us Paul & Leon you both work so hard its been a pleasure to stay with you. Dawn and Wayne xxx

We stayed over the August Bank Holiday and really enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the bar in the afternoon and had a meal in the evening. The beds were lovely and comfy. The room was nice and warm with plenty of space. Great view from the window. The breakfast the next morning was just unbelievable. Would stay again !

Went here with my husband and 5-year-old daughter. Check in was fast, the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are quite large. Everything was clean. The location is very near the reservoir where we had a lovely time walking around. Mam Tor is also close by. Our booking came with free breakfast which was served in huge portions! On our second day, I just shared with my daughter as there was too much! :D the Management was very amiable and helpful with our requests. There’s ample parking space. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to spend time in the area.

Lovely stop close by to friends in Whaley bridge.
The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed.
Made to feel welcome by the staff and the full English breakfast in the morning by the cosy fire was really delicious. It didn't feel like a cheap after thought but a lovely meal.
Reasonable price too! Would definitely stay here again :)
