I stayed at this place for 3 nights. Loved it. The food was of the best I tasted in Sarawak. Comfy beds, good functioneel bathroom. Just take into account that Mulu is a very distant place...electricity is limited and there is nog wifi at the Benarat (a slow connection for 5 Ringit a day in the park café and a good connection at the Mariott just across the river available when you go have a tea there). Friendly staff that gives you good info on what is possible and available in Mulu and books tour if you want them to. Just make sure to check twice about transportation times to and from the park...Anil has a lot to arrange and his memory is only human 😉 Recommended!

Nice bedrooms, not warm water in every room. Fantastic Service and lovely people running this inn! Our few days saw floods and they went out of their way to help us get to the park. Right opposite resort which you can also spend some time at!

We felt so looked after! Airport transfer, upgraded to an aircon room, lovely friendly, helpful staff and great food! Eddy is fantastic and really cares for his customers he tailors your tour to you. The guides are great Chris our guide was informative and friendly. Seeing Deer Cave was a highlight and watching the bats fly out at dusk he didn't rush us and we were able to stay and enjoy the whole natural wildlife show! No wifi which was a welcome break...if you are desperate Eddy will drive you round to the marriott where you can buy a drink and use the wifi. We welcomed the peace and tranquillity soaking the jungle and enjoying the cool breeze as the inn is right by the river. Fantastic service and really generous portions of food..we had a feast! Thoroughly recommended!

I stayed at the benarat inn for two nights during my stay in Mulu and absolutely loved it, this was my second time staying there. The first being five years earlier.. the place was beautiful, nothing to flash but perfect for travelers who want a more natural experience while in the jungle. Everyone who worked there were so welcoming making us feel right at home and so friendly especially considering there was ten of us and we weren't always the most quiet group whether it was loud jokes at dinner or stumbling back to our rooms late at night.. every morning you were guaranteed to be greeted with a warm smile as you were shown to your breakfast table and of course the food we were served at breakfast and dinner was outstanding.. I would defiantly reccomend this place to anyway planning on staying in Mulu!

Very nice folks. Comfortable room and good food service. Great location.

The only disappointment was when the solar fan went off during the afternoon (it had been rainy so there was an insufficient charge).

Hi There,

Thank you for staying with us and visiting Mulu National Park. Our electricity runs on generator and solar energy only and we apologise for the fan being off due to low power.

Do visit us again in the near future and hopefully by then, we will have electricity running from power station, and not solar energy and generator,

Warm Regards,
Richard
