This review is long overdue and my apologies to Captain Marvin for posting it so late. If I could give Big "V" Adventures a 10 out of 10 star rating I would. Exploring Long Island was truly AMAZING and was the highlight of our trip. Captain Marvin and his son Brandon were truly wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. They are so warm and welcoming and their knowledge and stories of the area are unsurpassed. Marvin and Brandon customized our trip but also made suggestions of things to see and do along the way. The colors of the water around Long Island are mesmerizing, such beautiful shades of blue. The deserted sandbars are breathtaking. Marvin and Brandon took us to some fantastic snorkeling spots including a plane wreck and an area that was like snorkeling in an aquarium. The coral was very healthy and abundant with fish and sea life. We collected Conch along the way and were treated to a delicious conch ceviche when we arrived back at the dock. Other highlights included feeding the pigs, "Marvinite" (ask Marvin about it), and meeting Oreo the goat. Marvin and Brandon always had our safety at the top of the list. There were so many other things we got to see and do, but these are just a few. Marvin and Brandon thank you for creating such wonderful memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.

There is something in common about the great water excursions I have experienced in my life... they get better as the day progresses!

We started with "meh" type of weather and I had second thoughts... but then we made it to the sand bars and weather started to improve... then we explored the amazing water/areas of the western Long Island that I have always dreamed off seeing from the ground (flying over the Bahamas is always a treat, but this particular region always sticks with me due to that what looks to my always as a tree/veins in the water, it was a truly dream come true), then we got to see some turtles, sting rays, sea stars, pigs... it was amazing - and for the record I liked pigs in Stocking Island, Exumas better but this wasn't the reason why we did this tour, I actually wanted to see this stunning island off the land and Big V made it possible

Is it expensive? Yes, $450 for up to 4 people.... well we were 2 and that's a heavy hit... but you know what? Time goes by... money comes in and goes out... time only goes by and never returns... live your life, enjoy it at the fullest and see how amazing the world is out there!

TIP: apparently you could snorkel in some spots but we took it as a "sight seeing" trip and did come prepared for snorkeling, and returned happy from it without the snorkeling part as well, but something definitely to consider
