A peaceful guesthouse to relax and take in the Cameron Highlands. Rooms were comfy and clean and breakfast was included. My partner and I throughly enjoyed our stayed here mainly because of the kindness of Jay and her son Joshua. We spent some evenings talking with them and sharing stories which is just what we wanted as by this point in our travels we just needed a rest! If you're in to football - then Josh is your guy to talk to!! Jay even made sure we had access to the TV one morning as we wanted to watch Game of Thrones. There is also board games scattered around which is nice for the evenings.

Thank you again Jay for one of our best stays in Asia!

I went for the weekend from Kuala Lumpur and the Cameron Highlands are a great escape from the heat. Gerards Place is a lovely place to stay for a good price. We paid about 90MYR for the room, which is about €20. We got a room in a very chilled apartment, with a lovely livingroom to hang out and meet other travellers. We had some beers with some Swedish guys and I think it is a perfect place where you have your own privacy but still can meet other travellers. There is a kitchen which you can use, we bought our own fruit down in the city center and ate it at home.

The location is very peaceful and away from the hectic asian life on the main road through the Highlands. It is always super quiet in this area and you wont here anything during the night. It is a 5-10min walk down to the center though or a $2 taxi ride.

The hotel serves breakfast, very simple, but at least they provide something. Eat it on the balcony and enjoy fantastic views!

The tours they offer is not really worth it. We took the Mosquito Tour which took us out from 8am till 2pm but for more than 4h I was actually bored. Go out by yourself to see the tea plantations, you don't need a tour. Just hire a taxi to bring you to the plantations and walk around yourself. On your way back find someone who drops you back in town. Everything super easy and super chilled!

Room Tip: rooms on the backyard have nice views

This would be a great place if it was fixed up a bit better. A number of bathroom fixtures were broken. Most alarming is that the main door could not be locked as not everyone had a key. The sliding glass doors also would not latch. The view is very nice and the room is clean. I wouldn't stay there again until repairs are done for better security.

A nice and quiet place to enjoy the cool weather of Cameron Highlands. The room is clean and staff is friendly. For this price range, I will consider Gerard's Place to be one of the best in Cameron Highlands.

The spot is good and Gerard and his wife are here for you to organize your journey. BUT the room was dirty : the sheets were already used by the previous persons and not changed, we even found some used underwear in it! Besides the shower was not working good and the breakfast was not served and impossible to find on our leaving morning
