Chilling and Relaxing

Review of Krabi Resort
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 Apr 2021via mobile
Krabi resort is a long standing hotel in Aonang Krabi with the site next to the cozy beach and it offers various choices of room types. Thanks to all staff members who had taken good care of us, especially, K.Nam who managed and delivered what we need even long before we checked in. The hotel is close to the pier where we can go for a day trip at sea and also it is very close to the famous Lae Lay Grill restaurant. Krabi resort is one of kind and it is a place for us to stay chill and relaxed.

The breakfast and ginger tea _ Wow
The rooms with bathtubs - Amazing
The beach which is accessible from within the hotel was serene. This is definitely one of the best places to stay at krabi. While we only stayed at this one, it was well worth the experience. From Phuket Airport to Krabi Resort was approx 2k INR , it was well worth reaching here and enjoying the luxurious stay.
Also, for veg diners, you can look at Gopala's nearby

We stayed at the Krabi Resort with a group of friends. Despite the pictures we saw on many of the hotel's market, these are only reflective of the pool villas and not the entire offerings the resort has on offer. Whilst our group stayed in both the pool villas and the "L" pool access rooms, we found the service to be quite limited on both.

Starting out with the check-in. Whilst the check-in was quick and professional, there was a lot of confusion. We were told to park and off-load our luggage at the lobby. Upon knowing where we would be staying at, we had to reload our luggage and drive to the parking and unload our luggage again.

Be extra careful with the words "pool access". These units are not pool access where you literally have the pool reaching directly to your room's deck or balcony but rather multiple clusters of rooms would face into the concrete area where the pool is located in the middle of that area. There really is no real pool access at this property.

The pool villas were amazing though. Not only that they are not as dated as the pool access rooms, they were full of amenities. There were Nespresso machines, two television sets, and a humongous bathroom. If you had to stay here: make sure you stay in one of these pool villas--strictly.

Breakfast is okay but very Thai and very limited. The egg stations would not make any other kinds of eggs for you but fried eggs. There were also pre-made scrambled eggs and boiled eggs for you. A few more Thai selection were available. There was no real butter here. Just margarine--(i.e. fake butter).

Service: quite limited. For a resort style hotel, I would expect the hotel to be ready when a guest request for a bucket of ice. But no, they didn't have both the ice and the bucket. So we had to make use of 7-Eleven delivery service for ice on all nights that we stayed there.

The hotel has the gym on site but it's very dated and very basic. Thankfully, there is a fantastic gym just across the road called Heroic.

So far, for the price we paid I think everything was reasonable. Pool villas were definitely value for money but just for the property. Don't expect much from the breakfast, food or service. Again, my suggestion: only choose the pool villas.

Room tip: Only choose pool villas. Do not choose pool access "L" units.

We were only in Krabi for one night and had originally booked into Krabi Resort's sister hotel but were transferred here as our original hotel was closed. We were more than happy to stay at Krabi Resort despite the fact that a number of the facilities weren't in use. I've always believed that any hotel is only as good as its staff and the staff here were very good indeed. Friendly, professional and efficient. Where ever we went in the resort, staff always smiled and spoke. Some other hotels should follow their example!
We were given the ground floor of a pool side villa which had everything required including, and most importantly, a very comfortable bed! Our only criticism was that it was a little dark although this may have been due to the weather. Once working, the Internet was fine although we did have to ask for help initially.
The are extensive grounds and many facilities and we felt this would be a very good hotel for families. It's location couldn't be bettered...right on the beach and looking out towards some of the many islands.
Breakfast was a buffet and was very good indeed. There were a few "western" foods but better to sample to great range of Thai dishes. Whilst eating you look out onto the sea and beach...brilliant location.
Would we stay here again? In all probability yes.

Courteous staff, great housekeeping staff. Beautiful property, great breakfast, beach, kayaks and paddle boards. Good fitness center. Good restaurant as well. Rooms are big and clean, comfy bed, and great AC. A nice big pool as well. Everything is positive here! I will be a return customer!

We stayed at this resort for 5 days. Our room was the best choice as this part of the resort is facing the pool, close to the reception and restaurant overlooking the sea and consequently the beach. Excellent cleaning both in the room and in the common areas, excellent breakfast with a wide choice. Just outside the resort you can find everything you need. The sea water is certainly not the best given the large traffic of long Thai boats that leave continuously for the various beaches and excursions. The long thai boats leave a few meters away from the resort for all major tourist destinations. Recommended
