Our third visit and it certainly won't get our last! We spent most of the day in Ao Nang eagerly anticipating our meal and it was well worth the wait.
It is always advisable to book a table in advance particularly if you want to have the best view of the incredible sunsets. The restaurant operates a free shuttle bus service so you can be collected and returned to your hotel or anywhere in the Ao Nang area. Don't take any notice of the sign that says Lae Lay Grill 100 metres...it's much further than that from the main road!
The superb and very professional service starts as soon as you step off the shuttle bus where staff meet you and escort you to your table. It was impossible to have any criticism of the service. You are given plenty of time to make your choice from the very comprehensive menu. After we had made our choice, we didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive despite the restaurant being very busy as it was Valentine's Day. There were so many staff that any request was dealt with speedily. For our main course, we chose the seafood platter for two ( 2850 baht - lobster, prawns, squid, crab, mussels and fish with a variety of sauces). This dish was superb!
To add to our overall enjoyment there was live music which was not obtrusive and, of course, a brilliant sunset.
This restaurant certainly isn't the cheapest around but everything about it is quality. We've eaten in many restaurants in Thailand and the service here is the best in our experience. The food never disappoints and there is absolutely no doubt that we will be back before too long!
