I nearly gave two stars but in fairness the facilities deserve three. We stayed for three nights and were so disappointed with nuisance building work (which the hotel did not publicise on booking) that we asked for a partial refund. Hammering and sawing meant it wasn't possible to lie peacefully by the decent swimming pool. Instead we went into Ao Nang each day.
The manager was reasonable in responding to our complaint but I felt let down because I would have gone elsewhere had I known there was building work for the whole of November.
I would recommend the hotel otherwise: the chalet rooms are unique and the site beautiful. Massages are very very good and very affordable. Breakfasts were quite basic: instant coffee and not much choice. This could be improved to enhance the experience.
Some reviews complain the walk to the beach is too far. It took us 20 mins at an easy pace. There is a shuttle service from the hotel if you don't want to walk but then you're beholden to the timetable.
All in all, this should normally be a great place to stay once the builders are finished. Nights were peaceful, given the seclusion away from busier Ao Nang centre. We were pleased that the manager agreed to refund us some cash. Don't be put off but perhaps check when the builders are finished before booking.

Was there for a vacation and we wanted something different. Imagine you're staying in a wooded hut in a little forest, that's Phu Pha for you.
Don't expect too much for this little place, but the accommodation was decent, very decent breakfast and very friendly staff.
The only bad thing was the water heater, we only figure out that there's hot water after 3 days. Lol. It is somewhere in the middle from pulling the knob towards you, not left or right. Hope this helps.

Nice resort in a beautiful tropical setting. Away from the hustle and bustle of aonang.

I left after a few days because of the noise of the construction which is going on at this moment.

Many bungalows and wooden stairs are being repaired for the high season which make sense but all day a lot of noice and not really peaceful.

We loved the jungle like landscape design and the use of wood with the villas ❤️

The location was great right near ao nang beach where you can find a market and boats to take you to railay beach and other islands✨

The staff were nice and friendly and we ended up getting a massage there where the lady was amazing my legs were sore from walking 3km through a mountain earlier that day but I had no more pain afterwards!

The breakfast isn't anything too special and we got a bit sick of it after two days. However, if you like the wildlife a cute little bird sometimes comes over to steal you sausages

Overall happy with our stay!

Ps. I think it must be most or all hotels in krabi because the public toilets are the same, but you can't flush the toilet paper! There's a bin and a doggy bag!

This place was a casual 10 mins stroll from the main strip in Ao Nang.

Good:
- Amazing staff, actually some of the best we have come across
- Rooms had a lot of character
- Pool are was nice and very central to all the rooms
- breakfast had a bit of variety, more than we had at most of the other places we stayed in Thailand

We actually crashed one of their bikes, doing a fair bit of damage to it and they were really good about the whole thing and more concerned about us that the bike. It made a difficult situation a lot easier.

Could improve:
- Providing an ferry to hotel transfer service
- Giving the gym a bit of an update
